Bo Allen looks like a  weapon .

very fast, huge leap , tough and big left boot.

Every kid will be judged individually , I’d trust JT if he wanted to draft a west Australian

My guess is it'll be out of Lindsay and Bo Allan for this pick.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we selected Bo Allan for our number 9 pick over Lindsay. After watching Allan on the Preliminary Final and Grand Final in the WAFL. Allan would be very much in the mix ready to play Round AFL Round 1 2025.

I did mention that I had a discussion with Tim Lamb when we played against GWS on that very cold Saturday night. During half time break, I was standing next to him watching swimming Finals (Olympics) and we were talking about draft prospects and the Championship Carnival.

Tim did mention to me he was very impressed with Bo Allan and spoke very highly of him having excellent leadership qualities as well. I do like Lindsay's elite kicking skills and efficiency. I believe it is very much a 50/50 between Allan and Lindsay. I believe we will be selecting 2 midfielders ready to play in the very early rounds in 2025.

Great insight, thanks SB!

A mixture of Chris Judd and Campbell Chesser

I'm hoping Berry will be in the mix for 9. Started out as a small forward but got midfield time throughout the year.

Has speed, kicks well off both feet but left foot dominant, one touch player, tough in the contest and has good forward IQ hitting the scoreboard regularly. This kid is class.

@Nascent Joe Berry.  Yes if only we had another pick inside the best 15. I’d still have (in order of preference) Tauru, Travaglia, Lindsay & Allan as ahead of Berry at pick 9.  Having said that, it’s not a knock on Berry, as he is still very talented.  This draft has future stars imv all the way through the first round.

Exactly, but not the Chesser bit. Like him a lot

Very happy if we call his name out

Ready to go

I think Norf will split 2 into 6 and 10/11/14 with Richmond. I see them, as a result, taking Tauru 6. Probably too much of a reach to take him at 2, but 6 is more justifiable. After that I think the saints take 2 mids 7/8 - likely looking to be Smillie and Murphy Reid. With tauru hypothetically off the table, I would be very happy to see us target Travaglia. There’s something about a skinny, quick half back/midfielder that’s very endearing (like a will day type). However, in a dream world I would love love love Melbourne to take a punt on Taj Hotton at pick 9. That kid is an absolute superstar in the making, who is only not in top 5 contention due to his ACL injury earlier this year. Upside is ridiculous and has the X factor that we crave.

If North are comfortable we won’t take Tauru, I reckon they’ll split the pick with Tiges for p6 (+ one of their other bazillion picks).

JT has a history of not being predictable and you’d hope he is holding his cards closer to his chest this year for that very reason.

Cal Twomey always gets mail from the inside, it’ll be interesting to see if perhaps this year he is a little off given the possible pick-trading scenarios

What's the go home factor for Allan?

Reportedly there and why I think he's not being mentioned more as a top 10 pick. West Coast traded down to pick 12 to grab him. Freo have 14. He will likely go to Eagles at 12 unless a club takes the risk before then.

Fairly big risk, which I have heard from a few

I think that's one of the less important reasons to not pick him at 9.

Hasn't scared us in the recent past with WA boys, but to hear this it's disappointing. I'd be really happy with Bo at pick 9, seems to have all the attributes of a great modern day midfielder.

Yes we seem to be a club who backs ourselves.

Things can always change once you get settled into an environment and the day to day training and with a new group.

Just passing on what I have heard

Big and fast, but didn't hit a single target by foot in that whole video

From what I’ve seen of his decision making if he left Melbourne heading for Perth he’d end up at Casey so it wouldn’t be too much of a worry

I still think we should look at choosing a Victorian.

Xavier Lindsay is an excellent kick and we desperately need more of those at the Demons.

Twomeys Oct phantom will be interesting. Every year its a bit different to his September with more Information available.

Looking forward to the October phantoms later this month.

Agreed. No point being daring and quick if you’re turning it over or failing to find a target.

Jayden Hunt vibes. Line breaking pace followed by long kicks to no one.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
