Good lord Viney..

Looks cooked and we sign him to a new 3 year deal.

you’re in fine form

keep the comedy coming

did you see last week?

"Play the youngsters"-  How about we do it next year in key defence too?

TMAC should retire and let a kid come through. dont care how good he's been, last few weeks have been pretty poor. Play Petty or Turner in D

I've been as critical of Petty as anyone this year but he has clearly improved in the latter part of the season. I don't think it would do Jeffo any good playing in this side tonight.

Not tonight.... there were 16 other matches, some against teams alot worse than the filth

He's got a point though - with Viney it's either he plays an absolute ripper or he gets 10 touches. There's not really any kind of middle ground.

[censored] disgraceful it took them so long.

It's been stormy since 20 minutes ago.

I hope Crisp does his hamstring of the bone or a knee after the lightning.

Doesn't deserve Jimmy's record the scumbag.

20 more minutes of this misery.

This can’t be MFCSS.

it has to be a clinical diagnosis. Too much evidence me thinks.

TMAC needs to retire and let a kid come through. Be it Petty or Turner.

I just don't think we are in a position with the list to lose both Tomlinson and TMac.

Even if TMac is only depth next year. We need quality tall position players.

There is plenty of other players in front of the exit queue.

Plus he's been excellent tonight in a depleted backline

The way we play against the filth it seems the players also have some MFCSS

He has no point saying Viney is cooked

I can think of three instances over the last 4 or 5 years where play has been stopped and Melbourne has featured in all of them.

Careful with facts and rational thought process it’s not in style atm

They spread so much better than we do. They spread like butter left out on the bench on a warm day. We're butter coming straight out of the fridge.

Only thing is, has a full pre-season to be ready again.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
