Didn't see a thread on this, and unless I am mistaken, Brock Mclean plays his 50th game this weekend. How could this have gone unnoticed!

This guy is a born leader, and looks like he has played 200 already. Very mature for his age of only 21, and is unquestionably the future captain of our club. He is hard at the contest, has good skills, and is possibly our best player already! He has been a revelation for the club. If only we could bottle his passion for both a contest, and the club, then feed it to the rest of the team :P

He is a star, and will hopefully finish his career with a stack of great achievements under his belt, namely a premiership for the Dees! :D Maybe a Brownlow or two also B)

Congrats Brock on 50 games, and here's to many more, hopefully not ruined by injury.

funny i was wondering if he already played 50 or not, as i was in europe for half of last season i thought i might have missed it.

get out there, please stay injury free, and rip them all a new one!

Hoorah!

I should probably spare all of you my Brock McLean dribble...

But I will say this, in his short career, he has managed to transform the way a lot of Melbourne supporters think about leadership and success. Before he came along, we only had our senior players to look at for inspiration and guidance, now we need not look further than #5 to realise what this club needs in order to finally bring us that long awaited premiership. Even if he never improves, he will still be one of our best each and every week.

Go Brocky! :D

That's if he isn't left out because of soreness. Going by our luck, that'll probably happen.

Congrats to Brock. Loved him since he first put on a Dees jumper.

All I want for a team is fifteen Brocks, three Rivers, a Bell, a Jones and a Neitz. If I could get that, I'd even give Yze last spot on the bench. :)

Well done Brocky!! he's my favourite player. Just love the way he goes in hard and doesn't bother that he's going to get knocked over in a contest. Has great skills and is definitely a future captain. Last week when he ran onto the ground for the 1st tiem the cheer and roar he got was awesome. A journo in the herald sun on monday said McLean must be loved by all demons fans because he couldn't believe the cheer he got. The journo said it was like Robbie Flower had returned. Go Brocky have a great game.

love the brock

watch out crows

WE WILL, WE WILL BROCK YOU!

god i hope not, i will then never show up to a game until all who were there and saw it are long dead and its forgotten about

so brock will become captain after 60 games, thats great, lets face it any idiot can see that he is the only good option for the job after the big man

first game back 22 possessions, played only 56% of the game, a few tackles and a few clearances

closest thing to a star we have had in a looooooong time and if he can stay reasonably injury fre overt he next 2 year will become a star

2 Brownlows and a Premiership medallion he'll have at the end of his career, what a champ. ;)

the quality I lik emost about this guy ?

He is really really REALLY is serious about impacting. Im sure he questions th efforts of some of his brethren...and I like that. This guy a is a born leader...and when he takes that mantel ...the others will know that they better be putting in 110%. He's prepared to calla spade a spade.. and risk the ire of those that think all comnets ought to be generic and sanitized.

well done Brocky.. may you play 5 x 50 more !!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
