What ? Since when does a forum specifically set up to allow supporters of the MFC to discuss issues and offer opinions get shut down because it gets a bit uncomfortable for some people? 

I have absolutely no doubt about certain things irrespective of whatever Tom Morris says (and btw you are welcome to have your own opinion) 

1. there would be many, if not all, senior players and officials unhappy with how this season has panned out 

2. I would be astonished if CP5 was not amongst those 

3. I have no doubt given the circumstances that there would be internal (uncomfortable) discussions ongoing because like it or not our season is over and we have performed well below expectations 

4. I have no doubt that Trac has not asked for a trade and that part of this story is either complete BS or been misinterpreted 

Given our season and how critical it is for us to address and reflect on this seasons failings I think this type of discussion is entirely appropriate - actually more than that it is healthy and necessary

100% correct, I had this discussion with a few years back, after about the age of 13 or 14 years old it gets hard to retrain someone to be a better kick.  You can mask it but as soon as the pressure comes on the poor biomachanics kick in.

It is a lit easier to build a players running capacity then try to improve their kick.

Just on Williams, never been the same since Alan Richardson joined the club.  Was front and centre in 2021 and now seems to be hidden in the back pocket.

There’s no report that he requested a trade. The only thing that comes close is the hypothetical “if he were out of contract he would request one”.

I think that part is Tom Morris being Tom Morris to be honest, contracted players request trades all the time. Tom is really just saying, he won't be going anywhere, but he's really really angry.

They just covered off the issue on AFL360 and Robbo categorically stated he isn’t going anywhere. He believes the issue lies with Melbourne having an old style coach that is fixated on a contest style of play and hence playing the most “boring style of football in the league”.

Take it with a grain of salt but I can’t disagree with him on our style of play.

Richardson joined the club before the start of the 2020 season, a year before Choco.

The reality with Trac, he is a ‘brand’ and his fiancé is his marketing brand manager. They need to maximise every opportunity possible. The MFC put brand CP5 into jeopardy. The magnitude of the situation is still not known. I really hope all parties can get him going again and event get his buttery fingers working (🎣)

I hope he comes out and says something. The messaging “he is contracted for 5 year he’s not going anywhere” sounds really [censored] from the club.

There must be a fair bit of junk happening at the club, I just hope that it can all be cleaned up. I don’t want to go back to the dark old days😔

Understand that he potentially is upset with how the club is traveling, the direction, the handling of his injury etc (we all are). I’ll also concede that it’s not certain he has asked to be traded and it could just be a media beat up/storm in a teacup but would it hurt for Trac to come out and say “I’m not [censored] leaving” a’la Wolf of Wall Street.

As an obsessive golfer I know all about how hard it is to retrain your biomechanics after a certain point in your life.

And he is right: a full review needed. Keep Tracc and Oliver (if he fully commits to football and a massive preseason) and clear whoever else wants out. If the coaches need to go, the review will reveal it.

Great to hear. The players must have been really burning from their record setting back to back straight sets exits.

Every opportunity that the surprise flag presented this club seems to have been blown away by a lack of professionalism and a terrible culture of low expectations.

Feels like we might need to be smart here and rebuild to an extent. The core players of Gawn, May, Lever, Oliver, Petracca and Viney don't look capable of driving us to the top again (or perhaps not willing). Let's be bold and for those who's hearts aren't in it lets move them on to build for a new wave in 5 years.

A few disgruntled senior players left the Bulldogs in 2014. Two seasons later dogs got the flag.
