I can't see Woey being dropped as the game is in Perth, he has been sub several times and was one of our best when he came on against Carlton.

If anything, Chin could need a rest with his knee issues on a possible hard ground.

I would even have Woey in ahead of Billings.

I agree with this... Woey has deserved his chance and Chandler has been terrific but needs to rest the knee.

It's a great opportunity for our WA guys to have family and friends in attendance. This is great for morale & team bonding.

So can we have Kolt in also?

Unfortunate for JVR

Happy for McAdam

SHANE McAdam will make his long-awaited Narrm debut, nearly halfway through the season.

The livewire small forward, recruited from Kuwarna last year in the Trade Period, will play on Sunday against Waalitj Marawar in Perth.

I know he came on fresh, but I really liked Woey's attack on the ball last week. Really hope (for his continuing progress as well) that he's not left out this week.

Again, and i promise im not being facetious, do you mean if you were a selector or that you think goody thinks salo is not a lock in our best side?

I ask, because they are two different things.

I am not convinced that Salem will definitely come straight back into the AFL side post injury this time. He may come back straight in, but I think they will have a debate at selection about it, which means he is not a lock.

The only locks in the 23 would be May, Lever, McVee, Rivers, Gawn, Petracca, Oliver, Viney, ANB, Pickett and Fritsch.

For Salem to come into the backline, Bowey or Howes would need be dropped, or Rivers would need to be redeployed into the midfield.

Salem is behind Oliver, Viney and Petracca in the midfield pecking order (and probably behind Sparrow).

I remember you had Spargo as a lock in Goodwin's best side mid last year and he was dropped shortly after and then left out for Laurie in a final.

Don't disagree entirely but I also think Billings could be left out to enable a Salem return (mid or back), with some minor shuffling.

Personally I think a fit Salem is the key to giving Tracc more time inside F50.

Re: LOCKS; tough on Langdon who's back to his best so far this year and I'd see JVR as a lock. For a key forward with 30 games experience he brings a boat load to the table!

Indeed I did, and I was proved incorrect.

I may well be proven wrong about salo too.

We'll see.

Yep you were right & I end up looking like a goose

Mind you his selection totally contradicts Goody's earlier comments that McAdam would not play until he had several Casey games under his belt.

Let's hope this works out better than the Petty or Bowey returns when they were clearly underdone.

Tbf mate i reckon Goodwin had no choice but to play McAdam due injuries to JVR and Disco

I dare say Disco may not get his spot back after Sunday

Just a lil reminder that we are all part of the best Club in the league. 🥰

We’re the only AFL club whose cheer squad has put together a Sleep at the ‘G team, albeit a small one. It’s on tonight and this year we’ve assembled a uniform of sorts. We all bought matching PJ pants…

Teamed with various Demons T-shirts and headwear we’re sure to look positively fetching 😅

Flashback to 1988

One thing that has changed substantially since 1988 is the crowd. Notice from this still shot that no-one is wearing any gear that identifies who they support.

Given that we will announce an extended squad tonight, my guess:

Out: Turner, JVR

In: Brown, McAdam, Verrell, Tholstrup, Salem

Must be BB and McAdams for JVR and Disco.

A big ask for McAdams given he's played about 90 minutes of game time in about a year.

Now that he is actually going to be part of the team, how about using his real name, McAdam not McAdams,  He is not a descendent of Frank Bluey Adams #6

What do they say about people who live in glass houses?

You consistently misspell Fullarton as "Fullerton".

Fullarton or Verrall in the squad... I'd prefer Verrall but I think Fullarton.

I also think he won't make the final cut

BBB and McAdam for game day

I just went up against Marty Hore in a handball comp. I’m so sch!ttt that even though he let me shoot from literally two feet away, I lost. Badly. 😭

Any intelligence on Elliott Yeo who instantly makes their midfield about 200% better?

It's believed he trained today.

Confirmed to be out

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
