Absolutely [censored] disgraceful half of football. No skill, no awareness and so vanilla. Structurally putrid. Any danger of a stay at home forward. What the [censored] is Bailey Fritsch doing taking marks at centre half back.

At the game. Gotta be some kind of record for kicking to the oppo. Just never seen anything like it. It’s literally like they’re trying to do it. Can’t possibly continue, can it?!!!!

It's pretty bad. I'm trying to be positive but this is Richmond.

The cats will be watching this and smiling.

Ooooooft yeah, we cannot play like this against Geelong or we’ll lose by 50 easy.

We look tired or something. It’s weird. There’s no zip in the legs across the ground.

Relax people, like a cat swatting a mouse. Yes the skill errors are weird but it’s actually well in control. Big credit to Howes for holding Bolton for so long, got off the leash for a hot minute there but a 3rd quarter onslaught coming

That is the worst half of kicking turnovers I have seen from MFC ever.

Kamikaze corridor mis kicks! These kicks are killing us. Basically keep handing the ball back to them but when they are in space and in their corridor!

Guts from Fritta .

I'm sorry but I don't think it's unfair to say ...This is the worst we have played for a long time.

We have gone from being a top four contender to playing like a bottom four one.

It's a big concern. We do look asleep. ( Again).

Its not as if we are a poor team but if you watched us for the first time this year.....

What are we doing prior to the game?

It's pretty difficult to explain.

Someone said it was a slop fest and it is but I want to know why

Last week we said fatigue. This week it will be the bye

But there is something wrong.

Trac, Viney and May not showing any leadership.

Yze has put together a game plan against us & it's working.

He knows how our players operate & being around Melbourne knows he we can also crumble

Has anyone ever seen so many turnovers?  Kicks DIRECT to opposition players.
Eyesight? Jumper clash? (didn’t happen way back when covered in mud).
Execution WILL kill us today and for the season.

Been feeling this for a while but tonight it has come to a head......we are so f$#@ing boring to watch.

And very proud of my man Dan Turner, to kick his first goal with blood streaming down his face made me a proud NE Victorian

Just what I was thinking. It’s almost funny.

We've given them a huge sniff.

No excuses re three matches in thirteen tonight.

This is as bad as we've played since the 2019 horror show.

We are a risk to lose tonight, honestly we deserve it. Did these premiership coaches actually prepared this group for tonight? Or did they think we would just win by default? 🤢🤢🤢

All going to plan, folks.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we do eke out a win here and yes they’ve thrown everything at us but if we were as good as we’re supposed to be we should be able to control the ball under pressure instead of turn it over in dangerous positions time after time.

Decision making has been atrocious.

Loose players not spotted. Pretty ugly from up here.

May, Rivers, Lever, Gawn in our top 5 disposals. Hello midfield

It's the turnovers under next to no pressure that are killing us. Beating ourselves right now

Don’t worry, this is made for the super sub Bailey to come in and look like a million dollars.

Windsor kicked two perfect passes to tigers. Petty and Oliver a bit disappointing.
Thank god for May, Lever, Gawn and ANB.

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
