The weather forecast will likely put some folks off attending *cough* soft as melted butter *cough* 😅

Come and enjoy the winning vibes regardless of the weather! And if it is cold and wet, what better way to warm up than with a hot snag (with or without onions) in bread? Answer: there is no better way  😃

Show our players how proud you are of them (coz you are proud of them, right?) and enjoy the company of other Dees peeps.

See you there!!!

❤️💙👊🏼❤️💙

I don’t know about parking around Gosch’s except to say being early on a Sunday morning you should have a good chance of getting a park. But a better idea is to park at a train station and PT it to Richmond train station. Maybe not if you’re on the Sunbury line though coz of the dreaded two words… replacement [censored] buses 🤬

I really hope we get a decent turnout, in the absence of a traditional Family Day this is one of the events we heavily rely on for fundraising.

So y’all drag yer sorry arzes outta bed and get on down here! K? K.🥰

Yep. The line was down for the hawks game too. Standard. Thanks for the tip.

We'd appreciate any info on who is in the rehab group from any intrepid trackwatchers.

Hard to tell what the group is but Melk, BBB, AMW, McAdam, Bowey, Hunter are off to the side staying warm kicking to each other. Sestan doing strides on the boundary.

Apart from Sestan, the rest of the above boys have just left the field.

Great job MFC. The players stuck around for a while to sign autographs and take selfies. Plenty of happy faces after that.

Thanks to the Demon Army for their tireless efforts in the sausage sizzle, much appreciated!

Was that @WalkingCivilWar taking the money? I should’ve said hi, whilst making her go back and forth for the Pepsi Max!

Maybe we should have a designated Demonland area for those wishing to say hello?

Not such a good morning, weather wise. As I arrived, it starting raining, settled into watching some Victory players have a kick around.

The MFC squad come out as the rain abated, they had wide smiles as the walked down the roped corridor. Plenty of joy from the supporters towards them, kids everywhere, maybe about 500 to a 1000 of us.

Rehab/light duties, Hunter, BBB, TMac, McAdam, Bowey, Chandler, Melky, Sestan, AMW, Spargo, Turner.

Chandler was doing enough running to suggest he will be right.

I expected Hunter to be in the main group, must have had a setback.

Looks like they are working on the fitness of Sestan.

BBB and TMac are managed, no obvious hindrances, and the easy recovery run is usual for them.

A surprise with AMW, just as we were suggesting he is nearly ready, he goes into rehab. I couldn't tell what the problem was.

No Hore.

They split into three stations, short kicking, a kind of soccer competition of kicking the ball down the field with finesse from outside the line, and a structured handball game.

Down came the rain again for 5 minutes and then cleared.

They did some structured sims. Coaches would move the ball from the forward line and set a high mark for a backman who would slingshot it off via spread and/or corridor it with links, to either a marking forward or to a forward that brings the ball front and centre. may was moving well.

They had a couple of meetings in the middle.

Finally, they head to the boundary for extensive signings.

Great atmosphere.

Seemed to be quite a light session. Wouldn’t rule out those not completing a full session.

spoke to Maysie, he admitted his body was fairly sore. Incredible that he is playing through that much pain.

a kid asked Oliver if he was playing this week. He was taken aback by it. As if he had no idea why he’d be asked the question. So, I assume we can lock him in.

one whack for the Club though - there was a designated 10 + year members area. It wouldn’t have been in a worse spot. On a slope with little vantage at all. At the end, when plyers came to sign, Max didn’t even make his way over to that area. Given that it was described as an exclusive area for our loyalist members, it seemed that MFC staff had no coordination of what was going on.

WCW, the snags were beautifully cooked.

No Spargo or Hore, and I cannot remember seeing Turner (?).

Spargo and Turner were in rehab group but didn’t do much.

AMW told me he hopes to play this week. Also said he thought we would challenge Kossie’s ban.

Shocking spot to stand, had my daughter on my shoulders for a bit and gave up and moved to the punt road wing.

Bowzer had the red top on, someone asked him about the shoulder, said he was about halfway through rehab, 4 weeks from playing.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
