far out i love seeing the bombers get smashed

like i really enjoy it

a lot

Thursday night - Mighty Dees put the cherry on top of their Gather Round experience

Friday night - perversely reading through Dustin Fletcher Hangar game thread.

Does it get better?

Stringer, such a lazy player

So where was the great Essendon edge. It was more like watching thomas the tank engine having tea and scones with emily.

Did I just hear BT say this has been an inspiring start to the season by Ken Hinkley???

Nothing like beating West Coast, Richmond and Essendon. And then, wait, what’s that? Losing to an actual contender at home.

Not gonna hold that against 'em.
They gave us a run for our money without Horn-Francis.

In his commentary, BT said Stringer was "lurking". I'm sure Stringer has done plenty of that!

I'm a little sensitive about the references to the number of days since Essendon last won a final. While I'm a fan of schadenfreude involving Essendon, I'm not sure I want to be reminded of that match. It was against the Dees.

And we beat them without May

For all the BT haters, give the guy a break, he just dropped the funniest thing I've ever heard.

Had me in stitches.

The worst is when he says something like:

"I'm an ex tradie, I'll get the tape measure out"

It was still a good game.
And I'll tip it'll be a good game next time too.
Just reckon their little mids got tired of running into our fleet of bulls all night.
They really could've used HF at stoppages.
BOG tonight I hear.

It's a reminder that they're a very good side when they're on, and that JHF makes them even better in the middle (although obviously a fit May makes us better too).

We should be incredibly proud of winning both these Adelaide games.

I think Scott is a flat earther and was referring to the edge of the earth and how long it would take till the Bombers eventually fell off.

Didn't have to wait long.

Round 22:

Which should be the Friday night game?

Dees v Port or Sydney V Collingwood.

Knowing thee AFL that is not a question in their minds. Give it to the favourites up North. OMG just realized the Filth have to travel interstate for this one. Someone in "fixtures" will get a kick in the behind.

He loves Greg Chappell.

So many close games.

So many teams in form.

So many quality players wasting away in the reserves because every team is just chock full of talent.

It now makes sense to me why we need a 19th & 20th team.

I watched the Port Adelaide vs Essendon game last night as a neutral, but also as someone who has a bit of a dislike for both sides. I did however, enjoy seeing Port tip Essendon completely over the edge because the Bombers have been unashamedly promoted in the Herald Sun throughout the preseason and into the first few weeks of the season proper. No coincidence that Mark Robinson, the paper’s chief football writer, is an Essendon fan. I wonder if we are now going to see a change of direction at the HUN and for someone among their team of journos to start questioning the culture of the club at the hanger?

Robbos just an average bloke with alcoholic dementia, doing an average job,for an average paper and an average radio station and tv show with a below average IQ and hygeine regimen.I actually tip my hat to the poor c.nt.He's the highest achieving slob we've had in Australia since Sir Les Patterson and he isn't even a parody.

  • REPORT: Adelaide

The atmosphere at the Melbourne Football Club at the beginning of the season was aspirational following an injury-plagued year in 2024. Coach Simon Goodwin had lofty expectations with the return of key players, the anticipated improvement from a maturing group with a few years of experience under their belts, and some exceptional young talent also joining the ranks. All of that went by the wayside as the team failed to click into action early on. It rallied briefly with a new strategy but has fallen again with five more  consecutive defeats.

  • CASEY: Coburg

The Casey Demons returned to their home ground which was once a graveyard for opposing teams but they managed to gift the four points on offer to Coburg with yet another of their trademark displays of inaccuracy in front of goals and some undisciplined football that earned the displeasure of the umpires late in the game. The home team was welcomed by a small crowd at Casey Fields and looked right at home as it dominated the first three quarters and led for all bar the last five minutes of the game. In the end, they came away with nothing, despite winning everywhere but on the scoreboard and the free kick count.

  • PREGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.
