May be an image of 1 person and text that says 'Tom Morris @tommorris32 Jack Viney isn't training. He's feeling unwell but the club still expects him to play tomorrow. @FootyonNine @9NewsMelb 9:46 am 3/4/2024 From Earth 8.3K Views'

I'm on school holidays and now have a cold as well... who'd take their kids on an interstate road trip when you've got work?

Not that comfortable risking May,  and with Hore out we need 2 to cover down back

Tommo in, Petty swingmang gives us 3.5 tall defenders

JvR / BBB tall forward options supported by Petty gives 2.5 Fwd plus Fritta as 3rd

Chandler in doubt, but less concerned as Billings / Woey / Spargo / Laurie could offer some cover

Out: Hore / Chandler

In: Tommo / Woey

Sub - Spargo

Can we bring in Henry Coles or Vinnie Catoggio as well?

I'm shocked that the Crows are 0-3. They were a bit of a weird team last year, but I thought they deserved to beat us, they almost knocked off Collingwood twice, and were robbed of a win over Sydney. Just two of those would've seen them finish 6th.

I haven't watched them this year, but their supporters would know their team best, and everything they say makes it sound like they've been terrible.

We just need a fast start, put the crowd to bed and we should be right.

Turning the ball over at a frightening rate.  Also their midfield is very one paced so they have been exposed for leg speed.  If they fix their turnovers they will win games sure enough

Name more than a handful Roost it ( that’s plus 5) please that were “passengers “ vs Port.

To help some who were not great contributors

Jibba Kossie JVR was ok and did the ruck admittedly ok but  no goals, Salo quiet for himself.

Woe good in about 20 mins cameo.

All  our defenders did their job

Forwards and on ballers did valuable roles IMO.

Who else RIF ?

Here's 9 for you cobber, remembering that I clearly stated that amongst this group some important cameos took place.

Salem

Hore

Pickett

Howes

Petty

Sparrow

JVR

Billings

McVee

I thought all the above had a below their standard game, I also thought Oliver was very quiet for 3 quarters.

Paid a visit to the Adelaide BigFooty forum. A distinct lack of optimism there.

Anyway, many are suggesting that Tex's back is stuffed. Can't bend, can't get his hands above his head and as such, think he should be left out of the team this Thursday.  Short turnaround,  plane flights to and from Perth.

If he does miss, Stephen May's potential return could be delayed to give him further time to recover. Whether he likes it or not.

Just play 'sunset Tex' hard with a strong lad - he will be useless by half-time, if not earlier given a mobile young bloke with attitude and courage.

Blimey teddy   Thats a strong side,,  Thought Billings might be the Sub   but its a very strong side.  Go Dees

You can't really complain about that side. May's injury is a club call. If it goes wrong there's the ability to play Petty down back.

JVR needs to fire (please)

Deck chairs on the Titanic for them. Most of the guys coming in were dropped this year. And no big names dropped

trying to make a statement without actually making one

Fingers crossed Vines is good to go and can see out the game.

Five changes for the Crows.... reminds me of our revolving selections pre 2018

5 changes for the Crows shows how desperate they are.

I hope JVR and Howes can play big ones.

The only fresh legs are on a bloke with 2 cracked ribs and a hurt vertebrae.

Very strange given 5 day break,  but I am not in the FD.

I liked Trent Rivers’ analogy last week - one soldier goes down, another one comes in to play the role. Maysie in for Marty (get well soon). Even our emergencies look nice and balanced.

Get it done dees.

Our next level is not exactly bashing the door down

BBB is of course a worry but his form will demand the first or second defender. If we played Schache he would get number 4.

You can start to make a case for Tholstrup but he has lots of time and who would he replace.

Once you include May any argument for Tomlinson disappears

PS In a perfect world you'd be resting BBB and rely on Petty etc up forward. I think they need the extra nominal forward to cover Petty going back should May not get through the whole game

May is one tough hombre.

Fatigue my big concern. would have thought some fresh legs in order given the short turnaround from a taxing game on saturday night but i trust the FD.

It will be a battle. The crows will throw the kitchen sink at us. they have to otherwise their fans will turn feral.

Crows made 5 changes I believe, after playing off a 6 day break.

While their changes might be on form, with of course 2 being injured, they will clearly have fresher players and I hope it isn't a tight finish.

Unbelievable.  May with broken ribs and vertebrae.  He must have to have extra padding and bandages !!! I’m still thinking he might be a late omission but I trust in the footy department and medico.
