That was a really good interview - but, you know, he said a lot more than just "Under pressure we crumbled".

You could select a different quote for this thread IMHO. I thought what he had to say was very positive and very heartening.

In fairness, that's the quote used as the headline of the actual clipped video from the pod

Bingo. But that was also click bait, in fairness, based on words Trac actually said.

Welcome to the internet everybody.

Well said Trac.

You can’t move past poor performances until you admit what happened and be brutally honest

Gives me hope for the year ahead

Well one thing you can bank on, is that pressure in the next finals campaign will be off the charts with two straight exits in consecutive years hanging over the heads of the club.

Great to acknowledge it as that is the first step to addressing it.

Probably good to own it but as one famous coach said , it's later than you think!

I really liked the fact his (theirs) attitude is ‘it is easy to fix’.

I gleaned from his comments that the team have talked about this and have an actionable strategy to address it - only time will tell if that works but half the challenge is making them all believe they can control the outcome.

Another great insight into the maturity and amount of work this guy has done off field to keep getting better.

There was a moment where he pulled back when talking about taking over a game and said he needs to trust his team mates more to make the right decisions and play their part. I did notice last season there was a lack of trust at times and he took it upon himself to try to do everything. While I think this is mostly a healthy sentiment and holistically a better strategy I do hope he continues to have that confidence to go ahead in games and take the bull by the horns like he did late in our comeback against Brisbane last season. No one could stop him.

My favourite part was talking about the forward line and stating the glaring issue being forward line delivery as opposed to just the forward line group being the main issue. He admitted that kicking is still an issue for him and his midfield team mates. I really hope he can improve on this and find better consistency. Also mentioned how the new recruits will help in this area as well.

I remember hearing/reading similar statements before the 2023 season as a response to 2022. Not interested until we show we've learned from it in a final.

I think that Tracc is the total professional he keeps working on himself to get that little bit extra out of himself and shares what he is doing with our high performance team. He is quite inspirational and I love that he has the confidence to discuss it so openly.!!

If that's how everything worked no player would do a interview every again, unless they won the flag

Course we did, plus The coach's stubborness, with selections!

Well said Tracc. 2 wasted years, he knows it

Team Standards must improve across the Board, Tracc must improve his Goal Kicking, he knows it.

He doesn't have to do more.
Just needs to kick straight.
And that goes for the rest of them too.
We squandered those 2 finals with atrocious kicking.

Sure he does

he has to improve his kicking action so the ball leaves his foot with more accuracy.

I nominate this as post of the pre season and soooo correct! Lower his delivery from hand to foot with no arc exageration would be a good starting piont

Problem is it is an ingrained habit.  Possible to overcome during practice, but in the heat of a split second decision, hard to overcome the habit.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
