Surely we arenโ€™t about trade Chandler out ?ย

no way. Chandler has other levels to go to. Billings is not a fwd. most wing/mid that drifts fwd

Billings as we're looking to trade Chandler in a "move up" deal involving him with picks?

Where is that coming from?

Billings is listed as 185 cms.

Previously used as a wingman. ย Hunter is listed at 183 and Lingers at 182 - Billings might be more than depth if he can find some form.ย

ย Bran Wilson, White and arguably Peter Mooreย

Billings is 28. Wilson and White were in their early 20's and Moore had a better career at the Pies.

so has it gone thru? whatโ€™s the picks?

Brian Wilson was 29 by the time he left Melbourne

Jeff White was 31 by the time he retired

Have you been living under a rock? May became the best key defender in the game after he got traded to us. Not to mention that Lever and Hibberd have had their career best years under us too.

Aside from maybe Jeremy Howe, I can't think of anyone in recent years who actually reached their potential afterย leavingย Melbourne.

Stef Martin, Darren Jolly. Toby Bedford has made a pretty good start at GWS.

What's your point? I'm saying that when Wilson and White arrived they were in the infancy of their careers, so naturally they would blossom with experience. Billings is in the twilight of his career.

Can we just stick to The Billings Method and not involve any other intermediary!??

I lived next door to those Billings' for a number of years.ย

Just a fun fact for the home viewer.

2nd trade period in a row we've done a favor for Paul Connors which is probably smart business.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
