Or perhaps Gawn’s palm on the line…

Or the ARC overturning the ANB goal…

Or Melksham’s ACL…

Or our own  inability to kick easy shots on goal…

Yep. and all those you mentioned would not have happened if we had been given the goal and Finished 2nd

What is happening looks like both sides that beat us will play off next week and we should have won both games, hope the players think about this over summer, completely [censored] the bed

On paper, no.

To beat them you need to out coach them. There's a reason why Goodwin is 1-3 against McRae (and barely got over the line in that one win).

They are exceptionally well coached.

Goody completely outcoached McRae on KB. 10 more scoring shots. we just couldn’t kick straight

and i dont think we were out coached in the QF just didn’t get it done. again kicked poorly. we need to improve skills

The entire Finals System would have changed…

Coulda, shoulda, woulda

Doesn't change my point. With a midfield full of crapp kicks and no dominant key forward, we don't win finals. The 2 x straight sets is absolute proof of that. The Carlton H&A game doesn't change our inability to win finals.

Fitzroy at least look to have stopped Carlton's momentum with around 5 minutes left in that 1st quarter and will need to start chipping away at that deficit now.

Home crowd seem a bit stunned and intimidated by the large travelling contingent of a real football club instead of the  frankenstein outfit they follow.

We tried all year with the goal kicking stuff.  Didn't work when it counted and also in a number of H&As.

We need fresh blood that brings the skills / finish / finesse with them as well as a new forward coach.

And of course a midfield coach now that Ooze has moved on.

😂.. am laughing.

Can’t we just have two commentators and maybe one boundary rider? Way too many cooks.

Lions will have all the running in the second half. Blues carrying 4-5 players on one leg

keep it under 3 goals at half time lions

If Lions do win it somehow they have no hope next week. Blues do have a shot though. There is something in being dog hungry.

If Brisbane pull this off then I give them a shot.

Having said that the premiers often struggle in the preliminary final.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
