Solid player who was unlucky not to get a few more senior games with us. An absolute beast at VFL level!

Back to Back VFL team of the year and won a flag with Casey. Unlucky a little bit with selection and sad to go out with an injury.

Very solid contributor at VFL level that helped Casey to the highest level in 2022.

Deserved a few more windows of opportunity at the top end in 23 imho,  even if they ended up fleating.

Thanks for your amazing service Luke and so many fabulous memories watching Casey win a stack of games plus the biggest of all at Princes Park last year.

All the best with the post game side of life.

Is that really a necessary comment?
The guy was on an AFL list for a decade. He won countless VFL awards too. He wasn’t the best player to ever pull on the jumper, but he gave it his all and set a great example for the younger players at Casey.

I wish him all the best in the future.

Poor form in an attempt to be funny!

Dunstan played his first game for St Kilda against Melbourne in Round 1, 2014. He was awarded the AFL Rising Star nomination for his performance.

Dunstan became an integral part of St Kilda's midfield over the course of 2014 before bowing out after round 19 for shoulder surgery. Following his last game in round 23, St Kilda icon and Dunstan's mentor Lenny Hayes handed his number 7 guernsey over to Dunstan. Soon afterwards, Dunstan signed a contract extension, keeping him at the Saints until 2017.

Dunstan turned his back on a potential move home to South Australia after playing an important role in the Saints' climb to ninth in 2016. The 22-year-old averaged 17 disposals from 18 games in 2016, before being forced to undergo his second shoulder reconstruction in three years – but this time to his opposite (left) shoulder.

In 2017, Dunstan signed a two-year contract extension with St Kilda to remain at the club until the end of 2019.

Dunstan scored 11 votes in the Brownlow in 2021 to be St Kilda’s second highest vote getter behind Jack Steele.

In 2022 he came to the Demons, and we were fortunate to have him. You know the rest!

another addition to the go out on your own terms rather than being delisted brigade, but in all honesty couldn't have been more unlucky with his injury. i have no doubt there was a '24 contract there for him without it and he probably could have snagged another year or two after that as well, afl is a brutal sport and industry and this guys luck just ran out. still 121 games at the top level isn't half bad on the resume at all

Luke definitely could have and probably should have played many more games for the club than he did, but he never stopped working his backside off at Casey. He deserved much better than finishing his career with a serious knee injury in the VFL. Thanks Luke, and all the best for the future.

Our midfield depth is non existent if we lose Dunstan, Harmes and Jordon. Hopefully there is a plan to fix this glaring issue over the next couple of months, rather than wasting draft picks on more midget forwards.

Thanks for your efforts Luke Dunstan, what a terrible way to end your career with an ACL. We were fortunate to have you on our list in 2022 for the Casey finals series and premiership and congratulations for making the VFL team of the year two years in a row. Good luck with the future Luke.❤️💙💕

Talked to him earlier this year, and back then there was a definite sense he was ready for the next stage of life. It's got to be hard to be not quite there continually.

Thanks Luke

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
