Pickett is a deadset [censored].

Useless [censored] to make himself look tough & then nowhere to be seen when it matters.

I reckon the crowd is 70/30 Carlton’s way. It’s so noticeable. What do other D landers here think?

Nah, football act

Nah dumb act

All these commentators including Garry Lyon can go and get [censored] trying to get Kozzie suspended - Maynard's allowed to KO brayshaw and they all back him in Kozzie bumps Cripps in the chest and the other [censored] flops from a jumper scuffle and they want to crucify him. This whole league can [censored] off.

Cannot fathom this commentary on fox.

All saying he’s gone for September.

“He makes contact to the jaw”

”that would be a week”

”jumps off the ground and clear shoulder to head contact”

”we know how critical the AFL have been on head high contact”

absolute pure buII****.

the bump was into the chest!

Probably, given he is not a big club player.

Will get Maynard's suspension.

Just shown that ANB’s ‘goal’ was touched.

Kozzie will go for his bump, I’m afraid. I just think he’s playing frustrated cos he isn’t impacting games, but his decision-making is poor.

Does Koz get suspended???

Borderline but I'm starting to not worry if he does except Spargo didn't touch it that quarter.

With only 5 or 6 players doing something it's incredible we are only a goal down.

Oliver a little better that one but he's not the player he used to be.

Tracc another slow start but trying. Viney good but not many options.

Smith a one man fwd line.

It's almost like they are told not to lead.

Drives me insane. We get the ball 80m out and no one leads. Sunny have to pass it to them but it creates space and less congestion. Just basic footy that we don't get

Is it time to go Neuclear.....

Schache on to take over a fair wack of the CBs?

Max to take anything forward of center and also push forward?

Scache takes the defensive half contests.

Getting smashed at CBs anyway.  What's to lose?

Any chance we can just have a half time without loud music & dance cam

Don't you feel ACTIVATED?????

Two points down is a good place to be. We can run over them. Just can’t afford any silly goals to them. Winning contested possession. More scoring shots. Just need to out run them this half.

Give me a spell, that is a [censored] comment, what kind of supporter are you? Especially after the week we've had.

They just make more noise and sound louder than us. But yeah there are more of them here

Fritsch needs to catch fire, McDonald needs to move into a retirement home, ANB needs to stand up and show prove why he’s in the leadership group and Chandler (wow hasn’t he regressed as the years gone on) needs to realise he’s playing in a game of footy.

The blues taking their chances.

Pickett set the tone early by giving up the shot on goal Smith had early in the game.

He will be suspended for his bump on Cripps and rightly so.

How does he get weeks for that? Surely you’re taking the [censored]

Pretty much sums it up except so has Kozzie.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
