I wouldn’t want to be the Blues facing us on Friday

We will be angry. Desperate. Fierce.

Good point. Get on it BPA.

Actually don't. It will just blow my head up.

7.50am match @Demonland ?

In the spirit of appropriate production support escalation, I will raise a ticket in the Critical category.

Sportsbet odds Demons $1.66 Blues $2.23.

These odds seem ridiculous. Should be pretty much even money.

4 weeks ago against the Blues we kicked 3 goals in the first half and that was with JVR,Melky and Grundy

Grundy has plenty of work ahead of him

And Trac ... so us mids need to get better at actually delivering the ball inside 50 better rather than blazing away and putting it on their heads.”

This is the part that is so frustrating because it’s not new. If we are to have “learnings” why can we not have them during the game and adjustments made during the game. Unfortunately this method of forwardline entry is our default. I don’t know if he has been asked or would even be interested but would love to have Mick Stinnear as a part of our coaching group (forward coach) our AFLW teams ball movement is fantastic. Two less players on the field which does create more space but their ball movement and forwardline craft is fantastic. It is a coaching issue. Either our method is wrong or players are not being held accountable if they are repeat offenders by dropping them back to Casey. But we keep hearing “learnings” and “no stone will be left unturned” Time will tell, but time is running out.

Yet if Fritsch converts two pretty straightforward set shots we win despite our lack of KPF. Of course it would be easier with a gun KPF but it's not impossible without one.

Agree it is just way harder.

Binman's PA does a fine job.

I meant our zone, not theirs. He's a vital part of our press as a half forward and occasionally a half forward +1 that sags off the front of the contest goalside.

Thoughts on why he wouldn't be playing?

No I agree. I want him in.

It'll tighten as the day progresses. Similar odds for Melb Collingwood before eventually flipping.

Likewise Port are clear favourites against Giants.  No idea on how these things work, or does TAB know something I don't after watching Thursday night?.

No, the dees were never favourite against the pies. We actually came in.

I suspect the blues won't shorten a touch but we will  still start clear favorites at around 1.75.

Deserved too because we will win.

Pre game luncheon at Entrocote might help. If that’s what it takes then Bonjour I’m all for it.

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
