Can you ask him about his goal kicking routine, and when he makes the decision to kick around the corner, and when it’s a drop punt?

Can you ask him what is his top 5 goals for the MFC?

I will always remember the 2018 SF against Hawthorn and his game winning goal in the last quarter from outside 50.

He looks hungry, he definitely wants that flag. Is missing out in 2021 fuelling him right now?

Could you please ask, what is Jakes role within the forward line and how does his role differ from JVR/Chandler/Kozzie/ANB (both as players and who gives feedback/direction in the forward line)?

Maybe a sneaky 2nd question…. How annoying is James Sicily on field?

Ask him if wants to be a forward coach for mfc after he retires.  He just understands the game so well. The interview after the game his comment about Sicily following the contest line and how he planned to play him was great.

Our backs seem like a real tight unit, they seem ably captained by Lever and May.  Who are the leaders of the forward unit and are our forward line a close bunch as well ?

Good get Andy. Looking forward to the interview. Jake has been outstanding this season and has stood tall in our depleted forward line.

What has been the biggest change he has made to his game that has led to the current run of success?

would be curious to know how he found the year-long sabbatical as a result of the peptides scandal effected his mindset and future planning, given that his year-long ban was his first year at mfc

subsequently to that hibberd came in the following year - how much difference did it make having someone who had had the same experience starting at a new club have?

how did he see his transition to being a predominantly defensive forward at the mfc occurring? when he started at the mfc he was a defender / sweeper and a quasi wing before getting dropped and then switching to a forward line player; from memory the break-out game in that role was playing on johanissen from the bulldogs (in the game lever did his knee)

Well done on getting this exclusive interview with Jake Melksham, Andy! Brilliant work! 😎👍🏻

I would ask him if he is enjoying his new role in the Demons forward line which seems to be negating the opposition team's primary interceptor and is he keen to play on next season?

Furthermore, I would just personally congratulate Jake Melksham that he has now played over 100+ games for the Melbourne Demons and hopefully he can reach 250+ AFL games. I think he is getting closer to that milestone? 🤔

On a slightly different topic, I am still hopeful @Demonland (Andy) can possibly lure the very elusive Mark "Choco" Williams to do an interview? I would be extremely excited about that! 😃

Would definitely love to interview Choco. It's on my radar.

If i interviewed Choco it would go for two and a half days!

Is that before he was allowed to answer?

hes a perfect examplre of a role model top football clubs need. Nobody would have him first 222 at this stage. How did he keep the fire in the belly playing at Casey for long periods ?

What's his favourite melkshake flavour 🤣

Hopefully Jake will go around again in 2024, please ask him if he intends to go on next year and what are his intentions post footy career, coaching, media other.!!

Please ask him about fatigue caused by the  Carlton match and the effect on kicking for goal and short kicking for goal in the Hawks match

thanks

The way he scored that goal showed me his character. I've admired that aspect of his personality and have had faith in him ever since.

My recollection is that it was his relationship with Simon Goodwin that lured him to the mighty MFC from the Bombers:

Would like to understand what it was about Simon that motivated that decision at the time and if he's noticed much change in Simon Goodwin the person and coach since his time at the MFC.  Also what is it that he's most appreciated about being a Melbourne player and part of the current playing group.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
