I would like to see the pies beat Lions (helps our top 2 aspirations) Suns beat Carlton and Crows knock over the Swans

The most important game for us is suns v blues not even our game rates.

Suns win or even draw and its all over . We're locked in to 4th .

I cannot think we will go out of the top for - and if we did, we don't deserve a flag. It's all about top two as far as I'm concerned. Go Pies (gulp); go Freo (gulp  again)!!

I want the Lions and Port to lose, us back to second. If we do manage to finish second it’ll be a huge help in claiming the flag

This season is a nightmare.
At least I don’t have to barrack for Geelong ever again.

Gold Coast, Freo and the Saints can all win IMO.

Being optimistic is good but finishing 2nd? We have a makeshift fwd line that kicked 8 goals last week.  I'll settle for 4th and get the tough season tired  Pies at the G in the QF with Fritsch back and maybe tmac.

Finishing 3rd is a disaster. If we're locked in on Sunday evening i'd use the Buddy farewell game to experiment . Couldnt care if we drop the game.  4th is No1.

I’m happy with fourth. Can’t see the Pies doing much this September and would love to pump them in front of their fans.

I see the Lions are into favorites tonight. Pies go very well when they're slightly written off, wouldn't be surprised at all if they got up tonight even with all their outs.

The number 1 priority is Carlton losing. If that occurs then we can pop open the champagne at 4:50 tomorrow afternoon and celebrate another top 4 finish. Hopefully Carlton "Carlton" it up as they usually do on the Coast.

Port and Brisbane both losing and top 2 is back on the agenda.

If it comes to a scenario where Brisbane lose, we win and then posters hope Port beat Freo for us to get a better draft pick at the expense of a top 2 spot, then I'd have to wonder where their priorities lie.

Freo anyday over Port.

A home final is worth a bit more to me than a slightly upgraded draft pick.

I'm the opposite re Coll vs Bris.  If Brisbane beat Collingwood and we beat the Hawks, we should play the Pies first week of finals, even if we lose against Swans. I'd be confident of beating Collingwood and all our finals will be at the G.  😈

Finish second and play either port or lions st the G best option. Pies next best option

You would expect the Lions to be primed for tonight and TBH the Pies dont have much to play for.

They have plenty to play for. Their form has been very ordinary and they’d want to build it up again going into finals. You don’t want to crawl into September.

Granted but with Top 2 sewn up I imagine there desire will be less than Brisbane's.

Carlton will be umpired to a win. Nothing surer. Second week straight.

would love to see the Saints grow a pair and end the Cats season

Lions easily tonight

Crows v Swans??? a draw?

If you are playing Pies in a QF or a semi or PF later, I would prefer it in a QF without N. Daicos and Moore just returning from a hamstring.

Beat them and it’s a PF at the G, likely against an interstate team.

That is our best chance of getting to a GF imo.

Then again a home QF against an interstate team is a big chance for a PF too.

Who knows?

  • GAMEDAY: Geelong

It's Game Day, and reinforcements are finally arriving for the Demons—but will it be too little, too late? They're heading down the freeway to face a Cats side returning home to their fortress after two straight losses, desperate to reignite their own season. Can the Demons breathe new life into their campaign, or will it slip even further from their grasp?

  • PREVIEW: Geelong

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit.
Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

For a brief period of time in the early afternoon of yesterday, the Casey Demons occupied top place on the Smithy’s VFL table. This was only made possible by virtue of the fact that the team was the only one in this crazy competition to have played twice and it’s 1½ wins gave it an unassailable lead on the other 20 teams, some of who had yet to play a game.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

In my all-time nightmare game, the team is so ill-disciplined that it concedes its first two goals with the courtesy of not one, but two, fifty metre penalties while opening its own scoring with four behinds in a row and losing a talented youngster with good decision-making skills and a lethal left foot kick, subbed off in the first quarter with what looks like a bad knee injury.
