Posted the below on the game day thread and it’s directed towards a few who have already posted on here

Been saying it forever some of you so called supporters are a disgrace and need to have a good look at yourself

Maxy take a bow

Trac likewise

Melk good defensive forward effort

Boys showed a lot of courage tonight

Took the game on and yes at times they got burned on the rebound but it is a coaching (yes coached) directive we really stood up in the last quarter thought we may have blown it with those early last quarter misses, but a fantastic win

There's a thread about media bias.

Could care less about media bias.

But the ridiculous bias against us by some posters, who supposedly 'support' the dees, and just parrot the medias weekly talking points, does my head in.

I love my Dees and I’m not totally biased to our flaws, but even if we lost tonight I loved that we stuck at it and kept within striking distance. JVR and Brown weren’t great but they continued to compete. May had some horrific moments but was important late.

Most people learn from their mistakes but the usual suspects will again next week be posting garbage on the game day thread vs Adelaide

Wow. What a great effort to claw back all the momentum in those last 20 minutes. So proud of the team despite some criticism during the game 😬

They are keeping Clarry out so that Trac can get the Brownlow votes every week. 😁

Surely Joel Smith gets picked in the starting lineup next week.  Another frindge type that tries his guts out, plays in the right spirit and just keeps preserving and putting himself forward.

I think he still prefer him up forward.

But when he came on he made our backline much more assured then Petry did.

Petty needs a few weeks spell.

He’s just a born leader and warrior, never gives up. That goal was purely wanting it more than his opponents

Cant be dropped now! 2 wins on the trot on the way to a premiership!

What round did Jake Bowey come in during 2021?   Woey Bowey has a rhythm to it.

Joel Smith the perfect sub.

Certainly very versatile substitute option but may have earned a full game next week.

Grundy getting dropped cost Trac the three Brownlow votes tonight. 3 votes Gawn and 2 votes Trac.

The last quarter ball movement was inspired and what we need to encourage.

Jake M was huge defensively and then was huge when we needed to compete.

Gawn was amazing and as much as he thinks he ‘wants to make it work’ - this performance will stick with MC…

Goodwin and co. are infuriatingly stubborn but they have done a number of things to get us out of our slumber; CP5 forward, Grundy out to allow Gawn to recover form, Rivers into the middle with a licence to kill or be killed through the middle, etc

With Brown back and Petracca and Melksham we look better IF we move it quickly.

Now spend the next 6 weeks doing that and we are back in business.

Please let it be Petracca and not N Daicos, sick of the media dribble with that kid.

I don't think Whateley was far wrong. Defeat tonight would have been a big psychological blow and could have left us in a potential logjam of teams battling to make finals.

Wasn't it Whately who memorably extolled Petracca's dribbler in the '21 GF as being "TRULY from the top shelf". He still has credits for that...

I love our ‘never say die’ Demons.  What a magnificent exhibition of character, guts and determination.  I feel so proud of our boys!  Max and Tracc sensational all night!  Every other player had great moments. Jees this Cognac is good!

The strategy of replacing Grundy with an additional Max Gawn worked wonders.

Another two Brownlow votes for Petracca.

We saw a Full Melksham tonight. The ultimate football compliment is when you out-body your opponent so well the umpire just assumes you've pushed illegally and pays a free.

Also, a full evening of Joe Daniher doing Joe Daniher things is always entertaining in a 'never again, please' way.

And I swear, if they ever put Jake Lever into one of those kids football ads, they won't need to get a kid in, they can just use tonight's footage of him bouncing around yelling 'Did you see me, Mum?' after the siren. 😁

It is not a small coincidence that when Rivers was up we were up and when Rivers was stagnant we were stagnant.

As good as Smith was when he came on, I think Tomlinson is a better matchup for Tex.

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
