I’m at work so couldnt watch, but looking at the scores I’m guessing terrible is the word of the day.

And people were bemoaning Port's win making top 2 a tough ask. We are so far off that level.

Let's go listen to this week's excuses but the reality is that we have not been going well for quite a while

5.15

21.48 over the last 3 games.

Pathetic.

The Italian National Team would be proud of that effort by GWS - a big ol' park the bus and get them on the rebound. I know it doesn't help us, but I HATE when teams do that. We lost that game, GWS didn't win it. Kick just a few of those opportunities we had and the game would have been over at 3/4 time given the rain.

Fingers crossed we can kick a winning score.

And ANB is a Brownlow medalist.

Got what we deserved. So predictable in play and outcome.

Agree.

Play skilless players and get what you deserve.

Great coaching too, ever heard of a goal keeper in the wet, Kingsley has.

If anyone is ok with what this football club is putting out - hands up

The pre game hasn’t aged terribly well

why is kicking goals so hard

jesus wept

gws at 4.75 outrageous value

And what did we do to overcome that tactic? Our game day coaching belongs on the G….at half time for the aus kickers

I know the conditions were slippery, but if that had been a match  between two struggling teams in the VFL, you would still have described Melbourne's forward line as pathetic. Brown past it, Smith below par, Melksham now just a journeyman, Langers and Hunter ineffective, Pickett charging about aimlessly, Harms a liability, Gawn-Grundy mix not working, and to cap off all the woeful goalkicking Viney missed a straight-forward set shot which would probably have sealed a win. Most of his teammates could have learned a lesson from nuggety little Bowey on how to play wet-weather football.

Goodwin's attacking plan A: bomb it in long to a heavily congested pack.

Goodwin's attacking plan B: bomb it in long to a heavily congested pack.

Goodwin's attacking plan C: bomb it in long to a heavily congested pack.

If Fritsch is out for an extended period, we are seriously in danger of missing finals altogether.

Let us pray Oliver is fit for next week.

We have one of the most disfunctional fwd lines in the comp.

I thought they'd clean it up by now.

Its getting worse.  Forget the 4 now. Every side knows theyre a chance against us.  Finals are no guarantee now we' ve thrown 3 games.Need atleast 4 wins with that fwd line?

No more f###g Alice Springs home games. Scrap it if you dont want to lose members.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
