Bad Omen:mad::   Yesterday a flock of very large magpies arrived in my front garden.  First 2 then 3 then 6!!!  Haven't seen a single magpie in the street since moving here 6 months ago so where the heck did they come from!!!!  And why now!!!  Last week's confidence sapped.

Good Omen:cool:Confidence returned last night with Elliot out.  In recent years we have only beaten them when he hasn't played.

Sticking with Dees by a heart-stopping 9 points.

Can't wait to get to the G!!

Up here in Cairns the White Galahs have beaten off the Black Galahs on Smithfield  Power Poles so i'm not sure what is going on there.

Pies list of missing players will not be the deciding factor today. They recently (and historically) best us by being harder and stronger for longer all over the ground. Today is another big test for whether we can go hard enough for long enough against decent competition.

Struck down with the lurgy this morning and can't go to the game!!!  😫

This means I have an MCC members reserved seat and visitor ticket available.  No cost, I just want it utilised. Any MCC member without a ticket (and a friend to go with) that wants to go please dm me. First in best dressed.

The positive posters know how long we were terrible for and as I said to another Melbourne supporter who was giving it to his Carlton mate last week, stay humble. We don't want to turn into Hawthorn.

Agree 100% with this, would like this to be something which separates us from a lot of other supporter groups.

Be known for our class and humility towards the others.

Having said that, surprisingly the oldest boy although a Pies supporter is actually quite humble towards other groups, even Freo who he absolutely despises.

I've just come back from a weeks holiday so I've missed all the pre game build up.

But I have no expectations today. I think this game for me is more about Neale and the slide beforehand. Maybe that's because you get a laugh at them sliding down into the freezing water & it takes your mind off the game for a bit.

I just don't want to see cox do anything so I don't have to hear the stupid USA chant

hitting the MCC, about to throw on a collared shirt if you don’t mind. will tuck it nicely into my jeans, assuming my girth allows

and i haven’t started drinking yet so i can keep it classy!

I'm tipping that 3/4 time exit you posted about above Dub maybe involuntary.

Can anyone remember the last time we went into a game not as the bookies favourite?

Imagine saying that sentence to your 2013 self.

Does anyone know if we're loading?

I'm sure there will be plenty of loading up at the beer shop.

Seriously though no idea, I'd imagine loads have increased though.

Win lose or draw today, this round is a great win for the cause Neale is fighting and a wonderful future legacy. Thanks ND, we will with your efforts one day, beat this horrible disease.

The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres
