Looks like Harley Reid will be spending a season at West Coast before choosing where he wants to play

they'll trade with Hawthorn/North for a first and second. Would you want to play for North though?

As a working full time visual artist, with a background in design, most of the indigenous jumpers suffer from way too much going on, and a distinct lack of clarity and purpose.

Just for context - Freo’s jumper was designed in conjunction with Alex Pearce, who is from Tassie. So Fremantle’s jumper literally had a map of Tassie on it.

I really hope some of the clubs start going for one symbol. There’s heaps of cool First Nations visual language (hello Devil Snake). Be great to see it applied more confidently and with more clarity, and not just filling every literal centimetre of the jumper.

As a comms professional and speechwriter who sees the same in the word-world, I empathise with you and commend this approach.

West Coast must really rate Harley Reid!!

Or perhaps they’re happy to take 3 first round picks off our hands.

Dees had a loss, and now Collingwood are on the TV.

I’m predicting a lot of ‘Collingwood will kill us’ posts coming up.

Well if you put our Friday night form against how the filth are playing right now, they would [censored] on us from a very great height.

Just hand Collingwood the flag now. Going to be another grand final massacre for the third year in a row.

The only club that could remotely challenge them on GF day is Brisbane or possibly Geelong if they come home like a freight train.

Think I heard something similar last year about round 10

lots can happen between now and September.

West Coast ....dodgy as

How long before Harley Reid asks for a trade home?

WC might try to split pick 1 and use their picks on the best WA talent

The only way Collingwood loses this year is if they're having an off day and the opposition is switched on. They're in second gear here and comfortably beating Carlton.

I can handle losing to Collingwood. But losing to Freo and Carlton would be disastrous.

And that's what I have been saying, our game plan will be ripped to shreds by this mob, but they are beatable it's just the way you go about it.

I know this will come across as incredibly defeatist, but I rather not make a grand final, than make one and lose to the Pies.

I'm sorry I know they have injuries but for WC to only kick 4 goals, that is a disgrace. It's not like they were playing Collingwood or Brisbane. They were playing hawthorn

It's my worst nightmare followed by losing one to the bummers

You can just about hand Collingwood the flag.

Many said the same thing about us in round 10 last year.

I’m with you.

They have the potential to absolutely scar a fellow grand finalist for years to come, per GWS, Sydney, Port (2007)

game over

The Blues are not the real deal. Doubt they’ll make finals

really expected a better effort from them

I’d love to give you some confidence here but …

Pies applying full ground pressure like Cats of last year and us of 21. It's a simple game but obviously the biggest challenge lies in getting 23 blokes on board to work at that rate week in week out. Cats have dropped it off a bit and come back to the pack much like us.

Who's going to be able to throw the kitchen sink at the Pies this year? Not seeing a likely contender yet...

Carlton have no defensive structure. Pies very good but oppo teams seem to buy into the media fawning and are beaten before the game starts.

This is a Carlton side that has come out to make a statement. Spent the week talking about themselves. sitting at 11th at the moment.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
