Some very wholesome content from the club for your Saturday afternoon.

The club is doing amazing things with the next generation of supporters. So good to see. This is how you build the next wave of crazies. Well done!

Great content but you can only do this with a team like this and with players like Gus.

ie. kids don’t hang around for losers.

This is, Jaded says, how you become a stronger club with a future.

I think Dolly is already a crazy for us, which is a great sign!

Agreed, it's similar the other week where Gawny stayed back 90 minutes or longer after a clinic to ensure that every single kid that wanted a signature was able to get one, the impression that leaves on the kids, but the rest of the family is immeasurable.

That'd bring a tear to a glass eye.  Well done MFC.

Sorry to hear about your eye. Depth perception is overrated

Great stuff from the club and looks like Dolly had the time of her life!

Brilliant stuff by the club absolutely brilliant.

Just fantastic.

Dolly looks in complete awe.  Kids facial expressions are so genuine. 10 years ago my eldest also gave a very genuine facial expression.  Do I get anything for this?  Mother of the year award maybe?

Did the Bub grow up supporting the Dees after that trauma?

All my kids were free to choose whichever team they wanted.  They also wanted a roof over her heads so all settled on the Dees.

Hello Dolly, you’ re looking swell Dolly. Keep on crow’in, keep on glowing, keep on going strong.

Now that's familiar from a long time ago.

Fantastic gesture.

That kid has been given a lifelong happy memory.

Was going to say something similar. No doubt Dolly will never forget that.

My lifelong memory is from when I turned 6. My Dad wrapped up one of my yellow toy tip-trucks in a brown paper lunch bag. The truck had a TV aerial cable sticky taped to it, and tied with a knot on the end of that, was a joystick controller from an Atari 2600. I’d been asking for a remote control car for my birthday and this was it. No need to be jealous.

Lucky bastard! You were from a rich family.

My dad gave me my own star. I can't remember which one it is anymore.

I have concerns that Angus Brayshaw's April is starting to look a bit like DeadMeat from Hotshots.

Did folks notice the card Dolly made for Gus and Danielle?

It read:  "you make a great 🍐 💗💗🍐.  Dolly showing her creative and drawing skills.  Cute.

Looks a great kid.

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
