Not sure about everyone else but kicking a point isn’t advantage?

They should never call advantage so close to goal. Just let the team take a set shot.

Kayo having a mare. Just work dammit!

Is it crashing for you as well? I thought it was my nbn down at Phillip Island.

It's been flawless here for me. Maybe try restarting whatever device it is you're watching on?

Done that 10 times already.

Bummers will continue to run and gun. We need to get our hands on it a lot more.

Would be good if the midfield could play the whole 4 quarters without lapses in concentration.

Kayo working flawlessly for us

Fine start for Essendon they should be really proud of that effort. Draper scorching us in the ruck and if Petty is really hurt then they could really exploit that weakness down back.

Great kick from Melksham to steal one back before QT but these guys need a rocket up their behind.

We need to keep backing our ball movement because once we break the centre line the Bombers are very susceptible. Get stuck in and win more contested footy to shield the backs and we can easily get back in this.

If you take the advantage it is, miss the goal stiff

We didn't take advantage, the foul was called after Grundy had disposed of the ball. Hard for Kozzy to know if he should kick or not.

I've never seen Clarrie start a game with 2 touches in the first.

Him and Trac need to really lift. Not good enough.

Damn. Hope it improves for the rest of the game for you.

I'm 5 km from the Adelaide Oval and there's no wind at all, so I don't know where you are. It's not raining. In fact, perfect conditions for footy. BB will play. There won't be any changes for weather.

Might have changed your mind ..windy ..a bit of rain & no BB 🤔

Shocking defence efforts but very efficient forward line entries -  almost the opposite of last season -  our backs need to get head in the contest and mids work harder defensively

Mids need to get involved more just letting the bombers have to many unpressured entries fwd

Let’s hope the coaches have sorted some of that [censored] out.

Petty and Tomlinson stinking it up

One of the results of playing Petty up forward for most of the year?

They are playing with a really high defense. Just have Rivers and Sparrow kick to space behind their last line of defence, get Kozzy, JVR and Milkshake work on ground.

1st

fumbles very costly

Bombers spare defensive across half back is very good (Scott 1 Goodwin 0)

Draper causing problems

Oliver 2 touches 🤮🤮

Parish 13 disposals 🤔🤔

Pickett nearly dangerous 🤩

Fritsch 💙❤️

Good news is that they can’t play much better and we have much we can improve on. Not losing to those cheats in Adelaide.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
