I’ve just come across this rare photograph of Vincent Van Gogh taken in 1873 when he was 19 years old — the only known photograph of Van Gogh's face. Anyone else think that one of the art world’s greatest figures bears a striking resemblance to one of the football world’s greats?

Need to see him with a shaved head and ZZ Top beard to really get the resemblance.

Maybe a while back there was a Gogh resemblance, but right now Clayton Oliver looks more likely to pillage Lindisfarne than any other person I've seen in real life.

 

When this photo was doing the rounds a few years ago plenty opted for Sicily, but it's no contest. Clarry by an ear.

Whilst Van Gogh cut his,  Clarrie gets his ears ripped off on a weekly basis (no high frees paid though)
