The same kick every other player of ours has been doing all night, but it's Grundys fault now?

No, but seeing THAT kick, totally unpressured, from an experienced player is very frustrating. Why would you think I meant it was Grundy'd fault?

Wow so many of the comments tonight are way over the top. 2nd game in lost our skip . The lions bought the heat we where not up to tonight but long way to go in the season. People need to get some perspective

There's no place for logic here. Only pitchforks.

Very ordinary performance, seems we still have major lapses in effort like last year. On form, we have some work to do and some key players out.

So what's your point? ' I told you all last year our team was [censored] and now they are!'. Fmd. We have been smashed pure and simple. Welcome to AFL.

What’s your point?

My point is the backline need a kick up the backside and to be coached far better. They get all the praise when it’s easy due to the upfield work and Bowey’s the only one who takes the game on. It’s not 2021, the game is more open and faster now, we have to match it

Worst performance of the Goodwin era.

Not even close. 2019? 2020?

Hunter goals. Here comes Bang Bang Bang. All of a sudden we're only a couple of goals down.

Right? Right? Anyone?

Hunter can hold his head up. Been pretty good.
Him, Bowey and Lever. McVee pretty good too considering it’s his second game and the room is on fire.

Have we ever seen the Trac Oliver Viney combo play a worse game? Witches hats.

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
