with 5 million afl accredited journos you'd think at least one could come up with some definitive info

With 67,943 members you'd think the Club could let us know what's going on. Why do we have to get it from journo's.

I think I’d rather the club’s doctors come up with the definitive info.

I can vouch for that. While I didn’t play a game of footy on it, I know the turf was schiit since several of our banner crew slipped and/or tripped. And it wasn’t our regulation klutzes (for example me), it was those who can boast that until yesterday their arzes rarely come into contact with the turf. 😁

I would have thought you would have had the Long Stops on WCW Ready to dp your Hootenanny dance of grungy boogaloo after each goal! 🤣

The vitriol being aimed at Sparrow is completely uncalled for.

Like blaming Viney for Gawn’s injury in round 2. Stupid.

Anyone genuinely angry at Sparrow for “causing” this injury is as sharp as a beanbag.

I would never blame Sparrow directly, but one thing I've thought throughout these last couple of years is the very predictable way we play does reduce the incidence of major injuries. Sparrow's kick was not part of the plan, and did Petty no favours. Nor did the surface (Gawn, Petty, Fritsch all suffered unusual injuries on substandard grounds).

If JVR could notget a game a year ago when we were in desperate straits up forward there is zero chance of us debuting Jefferson this year

I misread this as sprints and thought that there was an excess of pessimism here.

Dunno - Schache could be an answer up forward if someone can give him some angry pills.

Tom would certainly attack with all his ability. And he does have firm.

Tom used to run up and down like Reiwold( almost)

Now he plods and he's just  one awkward landing from the end,no matter that he's a nice guy and gives his all

I live for this kind of information. I’ll be at a pub quiz in 2029, this will be a question, and the entire pub will be in awe of the stupid [censored] I know. Thanks @Webber. Love it

Here is another fun fact, high heels were designed by the Persians in the 10th centruy for their cavalry so they had better grip in the stirrups.

So annoying, especially as it was a result of a poorly executed 15 metre pass to a leading Petty.

That's a bit unfair. Passes go astray in every AFL game, sometimes due to opposition pressure, sometimes just because of an error of judgment. There is not an AFL player who can hold his hands up and say he's never given a poor pass. There's a risk of injury in every contest for the ball.
