That’s such a shame. Confirmed that he is gone?

Will sign over weekend. Maybe not filthy but close to it. I know his folks well. They’ll miss seeing him week in, week out (and interstate).

Name a worst public speaker who is a better footballer than Clarry. I love him 😂

What an absolute legend Clarry is!

Forgot to thank the fans…needs some media training.

No he didn’t. He said thanks to the fans and keep abusing the opposition forwards because May loves it.

Congrats to Clazza ...what a legend!!!

It’s been another sensational night. If you’re a keen deinon and you’ve never been to a Bluey do yourself a favour.

I’m sure some will never accept it, but it’s crystal clear that the coaches really value what role players like ANB (8th tonight) bring to the club.  It’s not all about the commonly talked about stats.

I am sure he will be considered amongst the best 3 Demons ever, and possibly the best, once his career is over.

Without a  doubt.
By 2030 he could well be a 7 time B&F, Brownlow medalist, 4 time coaches award winner and most importantly a 3 time premiership player.
That’s definitely not beyond the realms of possibility. Only injuries stand between him and immortality in this game.

Would have had a Brownlow this year if the bloke who is apparently now the next Ghandi hadn't kicked him in the hand...

Well he’s signed until 2030. So he has at least 7 more in him.

I was hoping for some natural improvement in the playing group.  We need more than one elite player, but yes he might have a few more to win

Club great already

Worst public speaker ever though

When you consider the quality of player Oliver has beaten to win his B & F’s and his age that he has achieved this it really is some effort. Oliver is easily the best Melbourne player I have seen and my favourite, and I like him even more that he doesn’t like public speaking. And as good as he is I still think he has the ability to improve even more.

Oliver's football resume to date:

-3× All Australian

-4× Best and Fairest

-2× AFLCA player of the year

-Premiership player

It's insane to think that this guy is barely half way through his career.

Great result for Clayton let’s his footy do the talking for him hope his girlfriend wasn’t there.lol!!! Our top five are all great leaders we are very fortunate.

What a [censored] comment.

The guy coached us to our first flag in 57 years and we are still very much in the window

Goody's done far more walking than talking

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
