Harmes - mediocre at best

Brayshaw - gave little drive

Petty was our best player imo. spargo gave us  nothing

I love the joeboy 3 words every week, so I won't criticise, I'll just give an alternative and completely fail at the three word part:

Gawn - hampered, tried, taps still sucked

Petracca - hampered, still a gun, moments of brilliance

Oliver - tagged out of it, dug the terminator eye

Viney - as joeboy said, had no influence

Neal-Bullen - good first quarter, then standard nibbler

Harmes - good overhead, but in the wrong place too often

Brayshaw - one of the few contested winners for the night

Petty - my man, superhero effort

Salem - why can't he kick anymore?

Hunt - missing too often, not a great defender, not enough drive

Jackson - love him, but was wearing Chris Dawes gloves tonight (I also love Chris Dawes)

Langdon - tried, honestly was decent

May - just a gun, spent all day angry at his teammates though, wasn't the defence's fault, guy needs to chill

Lever - 50/50 game

Brown - yeah, that was pretty bad

Pickett - love him, one of the few highlights for us, constantly dangerous

Melksham - garbage

Sparrow - just horrendous

Fritsch - gave no pressure, reliable set-shot, unwilling to put his body on the line, disappointing overall

Hibberd - was ok, couldn't expect miracles with the rest of the mess

Rivers - messed up pretty much every opportunity, but he'll be better next year

Spargo - too slow, can't kick 30m, not enough pressure, missed opportunities

team overall - not enough pressure, too conservative, hella banged up

coaching - what the hell is our attacking structure? We're so conservative that we're unable to score, reliant entirely on moments of brilliance from Kossy, Oliver or Petracca. Way too focused on not being scored against that we're completely unable to move it forward. Horrible to watch all year, even when we were winning. Sort it out. Lots to work on over summer.

Don’t use tht phrase. Annoys me no end. What on earth makes winning the premiership last year any different, other.than the disappointment of diehard fans not being able to attend? Finals played in front of crowds. Full length games. I really hate this notion that last year was some sort of undeserved premiership.

Spargo and Melksham

TOLD YOU SO!

It was 1000% deserved but it plain sucks that they won a flag when we couldn’t see it.

And then a year later we get dished up a woeful finals series at our home.

Poor @ MCG

Yeah I agree, was using it in jest, but also to highlight the rubbish that gawn and co continually spewed earlier in the year about the drive to win it in front of the fans.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
