Wont be there , be at mcg

There is a good chance Geelong be complaining all summer long.

Just hoping its not a Thursday night final, otherwise we will be travelling over.

I need tickets now..

Should be an easy buy

Geelong v Pies will be a sell out

We will get 55k

Swans won't be an easy game. they play the G well. We need a full house there to get right behind the team

Come on Dees fans get your tickets and get along to the game

Well done Saints, great effort. They should make a commemorative framed picture of that performance.

Just flashed the final eight on screen.

Odd ..... I couldn't see the Carlton "premiers" on it .................... how sad !!

carlscum had their grand final today, uncle

It's kinda weird.

I actually feel bad for Carlton supporters. They were as crap as us for longer than us. I can't believe that I'm going to say this - they actually deserved finals this year.

I would be disappointed if we dont get over 65K, Swans have a good following in Melbourne

I personally think Sydney have the best game style to beat us, Collingwood probably second. Where going to have to play very close to our best to beat them.

Sydney struggled with the saints today we can beat them. Have faith.

Hannebery played 18 games for Saints on a big 4 year deal. Saints need a better doctor

Let me have a stab at the finals fixturing.

Thurs-   Bris v Rich

Fri-   Geel v Coll

Sat Twilight- Freo v WB

Sat Nigh- Melb v Syd

or Thurs- Freo v WB

Sat twlight- Bris v Rich

Friday and Sat night stay the same.

Better team than the bulldogs, and we have to listen the Bevo again.

No finals at Geelong this year due to the big redevelopment.

Plus it's too small to host a final.

Is that what the redevelopment is partly about?

I can’t see a scenario where we have to leave VIC, given we have two guaranteed home finals, and if we lose week 1, Geelong or Collingwood will be waiting for us in a prelim if we win week 2.

How exciting!!

Perfect results today in the end.
We play Swans at home and Geelong have to deal with a red hot Pies full of confident and crackhead fans.

It might have been perfecter if the filth fell out of the 4 but still very good!

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
