Agree, King is going to put it all together this week.

For a post that virtually all are saying shouldn’t be a separate topic, why is it getting enough oxygen to expand onto a 3rd page? (I apologise for adding to the topic)

DL is way too precious about what topic is worthy of a new thread

Head over to ski.com.au convo to have your mind blown

We're not beating Brisbane up there so as long as Collingwood beat Carlton which is likely or Fremantle beats GWS we will finish out of the top four.  If that happens we have to hope Sydney loses by more than us. Doesn't look good.

I'm pretty new around here, but I was under the impression that this was a forum for supporters of the MFC... If we don't believe we are chance to win I'm not sure we can really claim that title!

Welcome and you might think that but then we have those that are happiest trolling fans and themselves and then sign off with a saccharine bloviation:

Just because they dont believe that we will this week hence drop out of the top 4  doesn’t mean they don’t support the team, they just think we won’t win this week.
Think of the years gone by, I supported that team in person week in, week out and very very rarely did I think we would win.

Welcome. Stick around! Everyday here is a long, slow, painful redefinition of the term ‘supporter’.

We will find out in a few days.

I expect us to fight hard, the same with Brissy.

Hoping we click and the close one last week, bodes well for us to smash them.

I am with the sentiment that you don't have to believe in the MFC to be a true supporter.

Each to their own, even those wearing the lucky undies from "64, and now 2021.

Opinions, (unless in the mass media, and noticed by players and/or officials) or magic thinking is irrelevant to how we go.

Ye of little faith

close this thread @admins

I did some sums.  Hard to predict scores BUT

Sydney win 95-65, their % is 128.2

Sydney win 100-60, their % is 129.7

Sydney win 110-60, their % is 130.3

Dees are 130.5

Haha…loved how this troll bumped this thread back up the other day after it disappeared into page 2.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
