looks a bit like Darren Lehmann here

Outside of Tulip, Fowler, Hardeman, Big Carl, Henry Coles, Peter Giles, Greg Wells and that champion Phil Carmen, Bakes was easily my favourite player of that era.

Would rathered Harmes for Milkshake! Spargo extremely lucky

Think you should throw in Hunt and Hibberd

can only think each had specific goals or run with roles to shut down specific players. Not sure that held with our pour conversion into scores or the ease the ball came out of our 50

still think this side should beat the blues

go dees do it Saturday just for me!

My initial response was FMD ……. but  I took a deep breath and reflected on last weekend.  It was perhaps the best game of footy for the season, huge stakes between two top teams, enormous pressure and some important breaks went against us.  We lost by only a few points, with lots of upside to the level we know that we can play at (eg. goal kicking and delivery to our forwards).  I’m okay with no changes in those circumstances.

Dees by 29 points after some wasteful kicking for goal. I am not a praying man but I am praying that we are seeking an extra goal kicking forward to play beside BB, Fritta and JVR next year.!!!!

What's the chances of a shock Weid comeback at Milkshake's expense ?

Surely Goodwin is not that foolish? In the eyes of so many supporters and members, he'd lose his job.

Maybe goody thought a sneaky late change of the Weid in is better than Thurs night, in case Sam reads Demonland?!

Putting aside the “one week at a time”…..

Obviously we need to win out last two games to finish 2nd. In addition we need the Swans to beat Collingwood this Sunday, the other factor is percentage.
Sydney play Collingwood and the Saints, Saints are still a chance to play finals although it seems unlikely. I think we can beat Brisbane next week but it may not be as easy as it was after the bye. This Saturday night is our chance to put some space between our percentage and that of Sydney’s. Leigh Mathew’s said during the week he didn’t like discussing percentage with his players as he thought it detracted from the task at hand, I thought players were better than that. Break it down in it’s simplest form, aim to win each quarter by 4 goals. Cripps or no Cripps we have them covered. Time to start handing out some lessons again.

I didn't expect it to happen either 'mania. The point I was getting at ( and I stated it explicitly later) is that I don't like the idea of going into the finals with only one tall forward. Unfortunately, unless they were going to give the kid ( JVR) a go we have no options except Weid.

However, tonight's selection confirms that that is the way we are going

Wouldn't matter if he did read Demonland, '64, he's already had thousands of treatises, reports, theses, intense and widespread analysis including measured advice and fault correcting suggestions (ad nauseum) from the foundation of the football club - US!

Such extensive contributions to his onfield well-being have so far been wilfully ignored or 'placed into the too-hard basket'.

It does not auger well, I am afraid; still, who are we to consider alternatives?

Let’s hope if Gawn is forward more that he fixes his goal kicking.

Not much point in having him there to kick points.

Gawn has a career goalkicking record of 86 goals 78 behinds and this season has kicked 11 goals 13 behinds.  After the Swans game he was on 11 goals 9 behinds.  By comparison Petracca has kicked 16 goals 27 behinds.  Gawn's last couple of games have had some average shots, but over the season he's not far off 50/50.  If Tracc had been anywhere near that we win at least two more games, and top 2 is locked away.

GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
