Thats bizarre that Oliver couldn’t poll a single vote.

No surprise at all given that Oliver was supposed to be on De Goey for much of the night.  Gawn was outstanding and I'm pleased both coaches acknowledged it if some here couldn't.

I had Gawn and Petracca ahead of him but thought he might get some. I didn’t realise he was supposed to be on De Goey so that explains a fair bit.

How many of Oliver's possessions benefited the team? He is without doubt a wonderful player, but most of his disposals on Friday were pretty ordinary. In particular, his reluctance to kick started a number of pointless chains of handpasses that ultimately resulted in us losing possession.

Totally agree Was a flip back to the old Clarry wasting the ball and mucking around almost lairrising in fact!

I had Max, Tracc & Clayton ahead of DeGoey but he did look pretty flash when he cleared a number of centre clearance’s and ran out unopposed, mind you his kicking was poor on occasions.!!!! Clayton put his body on the line and had no problem winning the ball but didn’t get a lot of run away from stoppages and the ball get turned over in meaningless handball chains.😢😪.

Give us a spell, 42 & 24 contested doesn’t deserve any votes & DeGoey got 8!!!!

Geez you posters jump off quickly

Seriously

Thought Oliver was one of the very few who maintained the same effort all night.

So if we had won by 2 goals Oliver would have got 8 votes and De Goey would have got zero because he was supposed to be on Oliver?

I didnt see it that way at all, Greg Baum of the AGE a thoroughly astute footy scribe gave Clarry 8 Votes BOG. 42 POSESSIONS Cmon give ne a break. ELLIOT SALEM, LUCKY. IMO Clarry is still a better player than Tracc

That Johnson kid was stiff, those 4 goals all had high degrees of difficulty and kept them in it.

Absolutely he did, and you can never question his effort or will to win.

But we felt on the night he wasn't hurting the oppositon. Lots of big kicks  without specfic targetting, as opposed to many Pies inbound kicks to targets.

Elliot beat us last time, and did it again on Friday.

He's a great player kicked 3 or 4 on Jetta in that dismal loss in 2017

I’ll also add that I’m annoyed Elliott got votes. 2 of his goals came from incorrect HTB decisions. It was only the Hibberd one which was clear. Jordan and Viney had basically no prior.

How hot were they on the 'instant tackle no prior' HTB!

That’s a really poor post, the guy worked his backside off & was probably the only player that had a great second half, l saw no larrising  at all

As for Gawn getting 10 votes, missed 3 easy goals and as much as he was good he cost us the 4 points

Sorry, anyone that gets 14 clearances surely deserves at least 1 coaches vote, but clearly neither coach rated his game.

And 4 on QB this year.  Its why I think Ed is on the money - we just need a stopper on a few  - we surely know the issue by now with the Pies.

A great news Grundy is out for the year. It means we have Mason Cox in for the finals, a boon to any Pies Oppo.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
