Yeah just believe everything the media says, meanwhile I will just laugh at them.

Still think Jackson stays?

Yze deserves his shot, and it might be nice to have some fresh blood in the coaching department. Our boys are maturing as a group and new energy might be helpful.

I don’t think it’s all doom and gloom. It’s actually helping solidify to the players that we are doing a lot right.

Gut feel is Clarko will go to North, simply because he has a past connection there and they're Melbourne based.

Giants i think will go with one of Kingsley or Yze.

If Yze goes, we need to headhunt the best midfield coach we can find, he's played a massive role for us. I don't hate the idea of James Hird as an assistant. i understand the negative drug saga side of it, but he's a brilliant football mind, a legend of the game and someone who'd walk in and have the respect of the players from day 1.

Hird and respect…..hahaha

You are just pee'd that he Selwood and Dangerfield haven't played for the Dees.

Just give it a break and maybe grow up

If we lose Uze for a senior position elsewhere.  Should we look at Hinkley if sacked.  Can't believe Port fans want him out,  he has made 3 prelims and lost a couple by under a couple of kicks.

Other one I think would be a great [censored] coach is Leon Cameron.

Thoughts?

Sounds like Yze is the preferred candidate for the Giants if as expected Clarko joins Norf

Would be a shame to lose both Yze & Williams, good on Yze if he gets a crack at the top job, hopefully Williams shows some loyalty as we gave him a chance back in at AFL level and stays…

Garry Lyon saying on SEN this morning he's expecting coaching announcements this week, maybe even one today. He'd know both Clarko and Yze so could be either, but wonder if it could be Yze so that it's announced before finals to try and minimize the impact on our team? (He'll be staying on for finals even if appointed apparently)

Tricky situation for Yze to go in as kind of the "next best option" if the reports that Clarko is the GWS first choice.  Second best to Clarko is still a big deal, but if/when results aren't coming, will GWS be patient or does it come in play?

I can see Clarko being announced at North this week, really hope we at least get one of Yze or Chocco for another year.

I have no knowledge of the inner sanctum but haven't really heard much about Chocco this year.

Does anyone know if he is still having an impact or has the novelty worn off?

I'm not sure his record stacks up.  41W-1D-42L at 49.4%

Laidley and Brad Scott had better records at North.

GWS were 'blown away' by Yze according to Jon Ralph, and apparently they never really went hard for Clarko.

Yze is very very ready to be a senior coach and IMO will do great things at GWS. He's been huge for Melbourne.

I liked that Ralph said Melbourne have already told him he is required to the end of the year regardless of what he’s doing next year.

It seems like a mature, well rounded way to handle it. He’s done a lot of work and he deserves to see it through.

I’m with you on that but it would be awkward for Goody as he was his assistant wasn’t he?

Blake Caracella might be looking for a job around the same time we (likely) lose Yze....

Just saying.

Fingers crossed he gets a gig in one of the spots. Will make a fantastic senior coach. All the best to him (except for playing against us of course)

Will be hard to replace as a senior assistant as he runs the coach's box on match day with Goody at ground level. Need to find someone with that level ability and trust with Goody (and choco if he stays) - Leon Cameron might fit the bill there and relish being a senior assistant just out of the spotlight enoughbut close enough to it

Wouldn't suit our culture at all. We have a pretty measured, calm, balanced coaching group (even Choco is pretty chill these days), and Cameron is all yelling and negative energy. Big no from me.

That’s him in the hot seat. The  hot seat has way different levels of pressure and anxiety to release than the not quite so hot seat.
he will be in a very different head space and can go back to what got him the senior gig to begin with - having Goody and Chocco deal with the pressure cooker environment would allow anyone be their best as a coach/strategist and Leon was pretty good at it as a player and especially earlier in his coaching career

If there is any legs to this Hird rumour, it would be a horrendous breakup from the club for me. Would hand back the membership and ask for a refund

Clarko to bombers will be confirmed by end of the week. Just my guess from reading into the happenings at Essendon

Look at the Hawthorn coach factory. Losing Yze would be a short term loss but his success on getting the Giants gig just makes us all more appealing for the next talented coach that has high ambitions

The Hird rumour must be a pisstake surely.    I didn't think anything could take away my passion for the MFC and football until now.  If they bring him in then I'm out.
