Interesting Hunt comes in. We have 8 defenders, unless Gus or Riv move in to the midfield rotation

Brayshaw getting those midfield minutes he has wanted... ;-)

I suppose take it with a grain of salt, but Salem named on the half forward flank is interesting. A good team selected for a day of 10-20mm rain earlier in the day. You'd think Chandler would get the sub.

Hoping Chandler gets the Med Sub position, just hope we don't get to use him

Maybe we could do a phantom Bulldog injury and get Chandler on in the 4th Quarter

Goody tends to not bother too much with positions on the team announcement, so wouldn't think it would happen.

Gus to the wing?

Hope so! But as above...

Explains a few of Harmes' decisions last week

Does this mean we finally see Gus back in the guts :O

Hopefully Weed can play 4 quarters this time, really needs to play a big one without a 2nd big forward.

Yes Gus either on the wing or include in the midfield/Centre rotations

Yeah, he had rigor mortis on Jamarra in the last quarter.

Well, Petty did actually.

JVR an emergency. Getting closer now.

Chandler could well be the sub, which I don't think is a very good option. A small forward offers very little if a tall, defender or mid go down. Given we already have Spargo, ANB, Pickett and Melksham in the starting 22, unless he's subbed on for one of them we just get so out of what. At the very least, Dunstan as a midfielder can slot into the middle and push, say, Petracca forward (if the injured player is a forward) or Brayshaw/Hunt back (assuming one of them is playing midfield).

Harmes’ concussion was broken by Demonland was it not? This place is the sauce.

Iirc @Lord Nev shared the info. 👍🏽

I wouldn't be surprised if Chandler comes in for JJ.

8 defenders is interesting.  Gus unlikely to move off HB

Is Hunt a chance a play fwd? or even Petty?  Taberner and Lobb could be handled with Petty maybe

As an aside, this is Fremantle's first home game against us since 2015.

Which is utterly ridiculous.

I wonder whether there is any other match up in the competition where a side hasn't had a home game against another side in 7 years.

Surprised Banfield was dropped by Freo. Always seems to bob up and kick important goals.

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
