Redman subbed off. I wish the media would pick up on this stuff.

Absolutely filthy play.

The Pies getting shown up as the average team they are, getting smashed in all stats across the board

Pies by 3pts

Mate, Essendon won last week, they're in red hot form... that's the reason!

Pies have won 8 in a row, and can’t hold on to a 37 point qtr time lead

Bombers wont lose from here surely.

Just so I am clear, a premiership contender - has kicked 2 goals 4 in 2 and a half quarters of football?

Why has this come to pass. I presume it's their forward structure?

I feel absolutely sick hoping Essendon win. Maybe because I know they can't make finals and the higher they finish the worse the draft pick will be for them.

Plus I do not want Collingwood sitting in the top 4 on the same points as us.

Bombers overuse of the handball could be their undoing here

We'll have the consolation of laughing at the bombers if they manage to lose this

Wish some of our boys could apply pressure like the Pies do.

I cannot believe I am hoping the druggies get up

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
