Always thought we should play Weid down back in VFL occasionally just for a game like this

If McDonald were in the side (he's not, due to injury), he'd be playing down back right now.

This is a perfect storm of backline injuries.

Aghh. Not so easy now Simon. Sitting Oliver on the pine after his start to the game, losing momentum, then doing the same thing again. [censored].

Ok, where are these extra gears we've been talking about…?

Smashed in centre clearances, smashed in defence, smashed for ground balls....

Demonland: Weid is useless

Its all to play for now

can't afford any passengers but there's a few today unfortunately

Melk wont make 201

Weid could be finished.

Put Weid into the middle for Jacko's role (in support when needed), Jacko takes Maxy's role and Maxy to CHB

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
