You might need to watch the last quarter again.

Yep, we did it for one qtr vs one of the worst 3 sides in the comp. For 3/4 of the game we didn’t (in the majority)

We should have been better for much longer.

Genuine question. Why can't we play BBB, T-Mac and Weed in the forward line? It would be like a 3 headed monster in which the opposition would not know who to go to. 3 distinct targets leading up. If they don't mark, then Kozzie or Spargo clean up.....then there is Fritter lurking around who is always dangerous plus ANB. Seems like a dream line up to me.

But what would I know....😁

Great idea but only IF their leading patterns diverged a lot more. Create 3 one on ones and not one three on three which seems to happen more often than not.

Viney > Dunstan

Salem > Melksham (really not happy with his effort) Even half Salem is double Melks.

Bedford (think another run to give him a proper chance > Langdon (praying no broken ribs, if ok no change)

Leave Gus where he is please.

Wouldn't mind if someone else got a gig that match committee think is worth a run if Salem not right.

What's the time frame on broken ribs? Langdon out is going to hurt in the coming months.

Can go from 1 week to 3.

Will depend on the absolute severity. Could easily wear protective guard underneath.

Some putting Viney straight back in .... thought it was mentioned somewhere within the club (was it the injury report?) he was a two to three week prospect?

Had busted ribs, would rather play with a dodgy knee, is the worst. I prefer he doesn't rush back, a few bumps could really knock his confidence.

When is the last time Ben Brown or Tom Mcdonald chased someone down from behind?

Mate Brown kicked 0 goals with 74 inside 50's. That's a true shocker.

You are obviously this ubiquitous troll that has hung around Land/Ology for years and your true colours were shown in your absence after we reached Everest. You’re not worth any more internet from me, and I hope others join me in putting you on ignore.

What a waste of a life, spent trying to get a rise out of people.

Wouldn't think they'd risk him tbh. Not Goody's style. Will put on ice until he's right. Especially with Salem coming back Gus can move back to the wing.

Gus is a much more defensive winger than Ed though, we will miss Ed enormously regardless of who attempts to play his role

Think you might be thinking of Harmes.

Viney pulled out the day before the game with 'hamstring awareness'.

"We will monitor Jack closely over the next few days and we're hopeful that he will be available next week."

I wonder if they'd consider playing Tomlinson on the wing as an interim measure?  That's what he was originally recruited for.  Obviously doesn't have Langdon's pace, but he does have a big tank.  Provides a marking option down the line.  Hasn't played there since 2020 but has done it reasonably well previously, especially at GWS.

****rn Norf. Hope they spend the rest of eternity at the bottom of the ladder. Bunch of thug hacks.

Have they now become our bogey side...  for injuries?

Last season it was Tomlinson.

Hopefully if Langdon is out for a few we can find another silver lining, like with did with Petty.

Might be Baker ?  Short term until Lingers comes back of course.

I suspect after the front on assault North applied on Saturday that there will be a few sore bodies this week.

Not noted here is that Max spent a lot of time up forward and has that knee very heavily strapped. He like TMac may be very sore.  I wasn't impressed with Bedford during his time on. He has the pace but dropped a sitter of a mark and fumbles a lot. Not having Casey play this week complicates things as we have no form to go on. There are no guarantees that Viney will be available either and I would be shocked if Langdon is available.

That’s actually an option. He has height and can mark so we can also hold our forwards deep. There is also TMac on the wing too.

As for Lingers, don’t expect to see him back until queens or after bye thanks to Johnny no Brains advertising his ailment for all to see.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs Essendon

It’s game day and the Demons face a massive test which may determine whether they have what it takes to play finals this season. The task has been made all the more difficult without their Premiership Captain Max Gawn.

    GIANT HEADACHE by Whispering Jack

The crack in the captain’s ankle might be very small but the repercussions of the injury are enormous. The aftershock of the news that Max Gawn will sit on the sidelines for the next two or three weeks has provided Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin with a giant headache, not unlike the one he faced after the Kings Birthday when another Demon superstar Christian Petracca suffered his season-ending injury. That headache is magnified by the fact that Goodwin is facing a month of tough encounters a

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.
