West Coast are a rabble who will want to finish bottom of the ladder to finally get a number one draft pick (have they ever had one?).

Not for a long time, binny.

Drew Banfield in 1992 and Michael Gardiner in 1996 are their only number one draft picks.

I also wondered about that DZ. Do you know what the story with him is?

I have no idea  ‘Uncle’,  surprised to see him as the sub, maybe a fitness issue? Seems the Eagles have been hit carder with covid than freo, perhaps they’ve struggled to get a full squad training together since Jan.

I’m not sure but I think this is the first time there’s been three Riolis in the same match.
I wish BT would let us know. 🙄

Optus Stadium is half empty. What a bunch of fair weather glory hunters their supporter base is. Not something we could ever be accused of thankfully. Win or lose we don't turn up.

Seems you can indicate to the ump a ball was touched without penalty but not that it hit the ground

I'm just going to say it. How on earth did this get Friday Night status!

I hope Dogga is watching. It’s enough to make him sign on for us for another 10 years.

meth coke just seem to be lacking any intensity this season

The Drugs have finally worn off

Surely Simpson wants to forfeit

Meth Coke would get beaten by some Amateur Clubs tonight. This is a Disgrace for Friday Night. Floating Fixture My A..

Pathetic Overpaid Bloated AFL Executives

What a pale, lifeless, lethargic game of footy. WCE are trotting around and the Tiges are winning 90% of one-on-one contests without much effort.

Wonder how many of the WC crowd will have jumped ship to their newly adopted second team come round 9.

The Telstra ad that starts with footage of Jack Viney as the siren sounds and we win the Premiership is the greatest commercial ever made. I absolutely loathe Telstra, but I love seeing that.

Also, tonight’s game is garbage, so it’s nice to see what a real footballer looks like.

I think the tigers are the worst side we have played all year but look what they are doing to west coast. Pathetic performance.

Parish should have gone too.

Its laughable that there was this equivalence being made to Oliver as there were pick 4 and 5. There’s a reason Mahoney got to that pick.

Didnt want to get stuck with Darcy…

Agree.

Great thing is, Parish was your typical Melbourne selection, thankfully our club has changed and we picked Oliver

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
