One out in each line so each part of the ground should continue to function as normal.

No surprises for each other which is good re our system and positioning.

Smith and Dunstan stay in and Toby gets a run, at last!

Dees by 25 points.

Correct. Team looks pretty good on paper. Would rather not lose any more, however.

A good opportunity for Smith and Dunstan (and now Bedford) to get another taste of the system and the way we play that they otherwise might not have had. They will need that knowledge if COVID or injury strikes. Also gives either TMac or Weid some valuable Ruck exposure in game time.

Still a very strong team, which highlights the depth of our list, and how well they are drilled.  No doubt the envy of 17 other clubs!

Yes. Its all about the squad - you need 25-30 good players. (Which we have). Premier League teams regularly swap several players depending on the fixtures coming up. West Ham has a big European match coming up tomorrow morning; in preparation they rested nearly half the side for a League match - against a strong Chelsea. (Lost 1-0 late in the game.)

This year we have had up to 2 players missing ( except rd1 with more ). That is also  good players. Now it is 4 and this may have a telling effect. In a sense it is good some other players are getting a run but we don't want to drop one against the hawks.

Shiel’s is a good in. Otherwise it’s not the same side that looked so good against the cats. CJ, Mitchell Lewis, Ward, Phillips, Reeves, Grainger-Barass all out of that team. Outs not as talented as our ours, but significant nonetheless.

Hawks fans are busy reminiscing about Hodge’s debut, they have given up on grasping at straws already. Brayshaw  can also be a mid not worried there.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
