Agree.

Brayshaw - did wothe hadto

Generous on Tomlinson who I thought was beaten numerous times tonight.

Jordon may be rarely sighted but had 22 touches and provides an important link in the chain.

Just admit you don't like Brayshaw

Tough on Brayshaw again. He doesn't need 30 disposals to play his role for the team.

He also got absolutely smashed in a contest and has been playing in defense. He just does the team role every single week.
When he ran on without a helmet I was just thinking his poor mum must be beside herself.

Bowser - what a beauty

A class act. Way ahead of Hunt now in value and effectiveness.

Angus Brayshaw committed and courageous

Alex Neal-Bullen career best form

Jayden Hunt hiding to nothing

I normally don’t try to justify myself but in the case of Brayshaw’s analysis I will explain .

I’ve marked him hard because his disposal by foot is regularly problematic, nothing more nothing less.

And for those who think I have an agenda , he’s in my top 4 favourite players

Hunt won’t play seniors when Salem/hibbo are fit.

Thommo looked like he was 5 weeks off the pace early, got better but tbh if Petty wasn’t injured he would be at Casey building form.

Kozzie needs to start around packs further out and just fly past, they grabbed him slightly a couple of times last night, be out a bit further and the umps will see it. And he would move opponents all over the place.

Who did he tag?

Agree JB he can spray a few but some of his foot passes last night were terrific. Hit his intended target laser like  lace out. Massively impressed by his courageous return to the field and performance after being seriously ‘collected’. Given his history of concussion. It was a big hit.

So Neal Bullen has played a lot more midfield minutes so far this season and he’s been really really good. But I can’t help thinking that we miss his forward pressure and the downside of him playing midfield is that the ball is leaving our forward 50 with much greater ease now.

I just can’t believe how this guy has turned his game around. A couple of years ago he was my number 1 delist and now he is a fixture in our team and deservedly so. Well done ANB.

Agree TC zi thought Angus kicking and disposal was excellent last night both in style of passes and consistency on very good delivery.

Jordon was good and I thought Tommo saved us plenty of homes in defence.

Kudos to all in defence msybe Hunty was off but all the others stood up well and teamed together and agsin put pressure in the Suns in attack as did the mids.

Sign Luke Jackson.

Hunt - not next week

Gawn - no free kick

Langdon - stay calm son

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

  • POSTGAME: Western Bulldogs

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
