Yeah I’ll be going to that also, are you a golfer? Highly recommend the course, I’m playing St Andrews beach golf course on Friday.  Here’s hoping for 2-0 while we’re in attendance.

Unfortunately no glofer, but I like the Resort and the clubhouse and only a short walk to Metricon and back. Heard great things about St Andrews.

I have my membership on my phone so assume the barcode will be there in 18 hours, 20 mins (that's what the Melbourne app is telling me). I'll be there on Wednesday but was intending on using one of my 2 free GA tickets included in my membership for my brother.

Does anyone know how that process is going to work? I'm particularly keen to sort this out as there seems to be some doubt as to whether walk-up GA entries are going to be allowed on the night...

Sounds like my prediction of 55K looks on the money.

Whenever Q1-Q12 is GA it’s never a good sign for a monster crowd.

Similar plans for us BD, arrive just after 1030 and stow the bags in the hotel. I then have to take Mrs Right Foot Snap for Yum Cha then we can hit some traditional pubs on the way to the ground. We also have to detour to the Rebel in the city as my big order from the demon shop a month ago isn't going to make it in time. Dworship suggested the Arbory which looks really good, but we are going to save that for lunch on thur or Friday.  Any pub suggestions with like minded people would be be welcomed. Second time going to the G and very excited.

I don’t know if they do yum cha, but I highly recommend the Mao Please dumpling restaurant in Little Bourke St. Fantastic dumplings and noodle dishes.  I make a point of going there whenever I’m in Melbourne.

We played the Bulldogs three times and won twice, Adem.

Adem has a good deal on his mind - I forgive him; his performances over the 2021 season were brilliant - and I am expecting him to now have the 'tools' to do the job on the Doggies (including all other teams) with aplomb. Minor statistical errors occur but seldom de-rail a locomotive.

Anyone else more excited about this game than last years GF?

Dunno if excited is the word. I always imagined heading into a new season (post-premiership) would be different, as in, less stressful. Personally, it’s worse. Three days out and already I’m having standard GameDay breakfast fare ( four coffees and five cigarettes). 😑

Dont like the Wed evening slot, but it is what it is.

Will head down to the Duke after work for a bite to eat and a couple of frosties, then off to the ground early because I too do not trust the new ticketing system.

More beers in the Betty Cuthbert bar will ease the nerves

Go Dees!

I wonder if ground floor standing will be allowed? That’s been my usual over the years. I can’t sit while watching us play

Based on the weather forecast I think most of us will be huddled in the standing areas… raining all week from tomorrow, ripper.

I spread the love LFS.

Y and J's, The Duke ...., that pub in Fed Square.

Forgive ignorance, but I assume the Duke is the Duke of Wellington, and Y and J is Young and Jackson's. They look exactly what we are after enroute to the ground. Thanks.

They have currently sold 48K seats including MCC which is going to sell out and AFL. I'm guessing 70K with all the GA members scan in on the night.

Hardtack, online it looks like that placed is closed unfortunately. We plan on looking for the Yum Cha place we found in 2018. Hopefully that has survived the covid shutdowns.

Two 'happy' gentlemen overheard us looking for Yum Cha and pointed out what they said was the best Yum Cha in Melbourne. I can't verify that claim but it was really really good. A search through old bank statements says it was the Dragon Boat, and it appears to still be open 😊

He's counting a pre-season match which we lost: so he's correct.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
