I believe that they are the jumper numbers of Melbourne's Team of the Century, as named from the backline.

though the greeks sometimes compensated for perspective tricks, like on the parthenon

i must however say that every time i look at that photo i see shrunken arms which is disconcerting for such an imposing figure as max
