My worry is Hawkins continually pushing in the back and getting away with it. Hope he doesn't get on a roll.

Excellent first half.

Gawn robbed of a free kick before Smith kicked that goal.

Lost a bit of composure in the forward 50 at the end, need to be taking out chances.

That Fritsch miss was a bad one.

Clearances and conversion still the key.

Hawkins also missed a gimme. It happens.

Viney fantastic, but unbelievably hasn’t laid one tackle

I’m happy with that, he’s now playing the way he should’ve done all year, I’ve given him a fair whack this year but I’m so impressed with his game tonight!

Should never have had it, with that PITB

It seriously is a joke how often he does it and gets away with it.

Stop being so balanced…

The next fifteen minutes will be crucial, we just have to keep scoring and keep up the pressure on Geelong.

If we can keep or extend that 5 goal break, we should go on and win it.

Lets see this one out like the last one against this mob.

Lets score 9 goals to 2 after half time again.

Will take it. But there was a patch there where everything was going our way and whole we got some reward for effort, we could have absolutely put them on their butts.

There is plenty of work to be done, I'm confidents haven't fired all our shots.

????

Goody seems somewhat confident with May. That's something! Here's hoping. We'll need him in the GF.

But first things first, we need to get there. Quick goals please! Let's bury them quickly.

Oliver will go boom now.

He pushes so much his hands will be sore in the second half

Umpies are woeful

Now kick the goal

Petracca Oliver....the ole 1 2

Trac, Clarry, Side Show Bob. Brilliant.

Brown goes BOOM!

Another quick one and we're back to where we were. A reminder to the Cats that they're not getting anywhere near us tonight.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
