Flag flying at letterbox, 2021 scarf on fence, many other scarves around the front door.

Daughter home-cooking pies and red-and-blue cup cakes.

Wife has gathered scarves from last 10 years and sewn them into a throw rug/blanket.

Canadian Club and Shiraz for the game (probably start about 12.01pm as the nerves set in).

Glenfiddich 18 ready for the celebration.

Now 'flying the flag' 24/7 from my part of Brisbane, with a little tribute to the fallen Demons of my generation of supporting the MFC.

My Dad's place in Meredith, Victoria.

He was born in February, 1965, so here's to hoping he witnesses the first Dees flag in his 56 years tomorrow.

Go Dees!

It is fantastic to see how many demons flags and banners around. Such an outpouring from the faithful. I even found out there is a demons fan 4 doors up from me Ive never met!

a flag would be so amazing and would reignite the flame of demon passion for years to come. We have been dormant too long

In a place called Amoonguna, near Alice this afternoon, Bulldogs colours, window down but no one around so didn’t shout, neighbors flying Demons colours, few oldies sitting out front, let rip with Go Demons, got some good cheers back.

Erldunda pub in the centre covered in red and blue balloons for the Imanpa mob, will be insane down there tomorrow

No description available.

Got on the train yesterday wearing my retro Demons scarf and the train guard sees me and gives me a big GO DEMONS!!

Get a few go Demons around town and I think 90% of neutral fans and even non AFL are behind us.

Took a bunch of scarfs into the office today and made everyone in my team an honorary Melbourne supporter for the day, much to the disgust of my boss who's a Lions/Bears fan from day dot, but even he took it in good spirits.

GO THE MIGHTY DEMONS!!!

Sorry if I've missed this elsewhere on the way through. It's all been a bit if a blur... through

The good thing that stands out to me with all the banners and decorations for either clubs is that people respect what others have done with no damage to displays. Not so sure if we were playing some other clubs. You fill in the clubs name.

At the risk of perpetuating stereotypes, and it's not a Rangey, but the the Austin Healey is draped in Demon scarves.

Bloody windy today but I'll do a follow up with them all out the front of the house tomorrow.  Till then, pip pip!

Turns out I am way too lazy to put all those scarves up so this will have to do.

Canberra here, got a few strange looks from dog walkers....

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
