Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023

Really pathetic effort today.

4 handballs. 1 tackle.

That's it.

Cya Weid, a rebuilding club will stupidly take a punt on him. Fling him off for any pick or a vet, we can use the cash on an actual best 22 player.

I'd have more faith a packet of twisties would make more of an impact on field.

Can't believe some are just waking up now to the realisation that he's an ordinary AFL player.

Bitterly disappointed overall today.
The ball (watching on TV) only came his way a few times.
Not really sure who would want him at the moment.
Amso very uncertain if BBB would have done any better quite frankly with the pathetic delivery forward.

De Goey is a poor mans Christian Petracca. We have the real deal so no need to bring in the fake version.

And to think people didn’t want to trade Weids for DeGoey

You reckon De Goey is what we need? Have you been watching him play this year?

i think he'll stay, a 2yr deal on no where near the money we previously offered him or he wanted and if after next year he hasn't pushed tmac out of the side which could still happen given tmac wasnt much better today then he might leave. but he wont want to leave on a multi year deal coz his value is at its lowest he won't get paid much at all anywhere

We would have won today if Weiderman was in black n white and Degoey in the red and blue.

Yep can go wherever and lets make Harry Mc Kay a GODFATHER OFFER!!

Why ?? Has done NOTHING save for a 3 goal effort vs Geelong and one or two cameos! Just hasn't got it!

He lost me today.

Obviously doesn’t like any physicality.

Rather run under the ball then take the hit from behind, or takes a first grab and fumbles due to his perceived anticipation of a hit coming.

We'll get cents in the dollar, but he has to go

I would keep him with us, i would ask him to stay with us next year, then i would stick him away with the meanest dude we can find for two months one on one at the end of the year.

Then i would tell everyone else to stick it

Put him 1 on 1 against Steven May at training each week and don’t let him back into the team until he can consistently beat May.

Right now he just gets towelled up by AFL defenders.

Right now his behind Tmac, B.Brown, Daw and M.Brown. Needs to start from the bottom again unfortunately and work his way back up the pecking order.

Absolute joke we are playing ahead of a Coleman medallist.

On today's effort we'd need to throw in steak knives for someone to take him

He will be the steak knives in any trade.

They’re not circling but running away fast

I think they mean the Mornington Peninsula Football League is circling!

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
