Notice the patience from BB there... ends in a lead mark and shot at goal

Rohan has had 2 kicks.  Who would not have had a goal kicked on them in that onslaught?

Smith has done OUTSTANDING JOB

Other than the last 10 minutes or so, we weren't THAT bad. I've seen worse this year. I don't mind losing, but form is important and we don't want the boys being belted before the finals. I think we'll bounce back.

Addendum: I hate Hawkins' face so much.

We look a mess. Having said that, better now than finals time

That’s the one positive I’m choosing to take out of this mess.

To have any chance of winning tonight we have to hit targets up within reasonable shooting angles.  Going to the pocket won't cut it.

Pickett taken high, then in the back  but it was Selwood so no free

Why was that not 50 (other than the obvious)?

Our two biggest problems surface when it’s against good opponents.

Centre clearances and forward connection

Me too, for some reason he reminds me of a white walker from GoT. Might be the eyes.

That’s [censored] fifty. [censored] tried to trip Oliver

The ump stood there and watched him do it.

Maybe Goodwin can apply some "learnings".

PS an 8 meter kick to Hawkins = mark = goal

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
