My MFCSS tells me I won’t live to hear the final siren sound…

No doubt I would die of a heart attack moments before Oliver kicks the winning behind.

Already thinking about sponsoring a player next year, might get me over the line.

Paint the dog.

Last week I saw a bloke in Ivanhoe on Channel 7 news had painted a mural on his house of Gawny, Kossie and Trac. His daughter put him up to it (are you on DL????). It was magnificent.

My wife told me not to get any ideas, but I could totally see my house painted in red and blue (they are my two favourite colours after all)

Was it Ivan of Coodabeens call-in fame?

I’d offer to paint a team portrait, ideally mural size (yes, I’m serious) prints of which all you on here would have to pay for, but at Demonland mates rates, of course. 😎

We're tempting fate (and Norm Smith) just talking about it 😀

Change nothing. What I'm doing is obviously working.

Got kicked out of egocentrics anonymous.

Not the winning goal? Oh wait, you did say Oliver. 😬

Regardless of the result - probably cry

I’d get a Demonland tattoo.

A tattoo of the Demonland logo?

Or the contents of an emblematic post or thread? I say go full freakshow, and try to get as much of the 'Is Goodwin the right guy...' thread tattooed on there. 😉

Sounds a bit John Doe from Se7en! 😳

No single human body has enough skin for that, Col.

Reading through that entire thread may make one as psychotic as him!

I could see myself paying a little more attention to the endless advertising of the Demon Shop, perhaps to buy one or two items to utilise at a game when the crowds of spectators are permitted to enter the 'G again.

Going to get my own piece of memorabilia made. It wouldn’t basically be along the lines off a team photo holding the cup in the middle (maybe A4 size) surrounded by a series of smaller photos of action shots throughout the game. Then have my 17 years of membership cards forming a border. Hopefully get it signed and then framed up.

I haven't had a drink for years but, if we win the flag, I'll probably have two beers and be so drunk I'll stand outside @jnrmac's house with a megaphone and serenade him all night with "A Grand Old Flag" interspersed with  bursts of "Kumbaya".

Note to @jnrmac: Be careful what you wish for!

Yep  probably buy every piece of merch i can get my hands on and personally apologize to every player Ive knocked on this site.

Edited by leave it to deever

If we’ve got it sown up with 15 minutes to go I’ll open a bottle of whiskey and possibly drink more in those 15 minutes than in my 43 years on the planet to this point. I’d probably let out the biggest blood curdling roar on the siren that will terrify my kids and the neighbours, then I’d ring my old man and have a good cry 😳 After I recover from that and watch the boys collect their medals, I’ll reflect on Flower, Stynes, Lyon and all the other greats and what it means to all our supporters who have been through absolute [censored] for 50+ years. I’ll then watch the reply  and pot a few people on Bigfooty (won’t be able to help it) until I pass out at about 5am. Pretty measured response I reckon!

This would be a cool Tatt

This Demon was found in Twisties Packets in the 60’s. So the card was always yellow, but he has always been a favourite Demon

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
