I agree with this.

Viney got slammed for the how long his arm was on Collins' throat.

Was that how long in slo-mo repeat, or how long in real time? (which I estimate as somewhere between 4 and 5 seconds)

You can clearly see the top of Sparrow's jumper and his throat.  Nothing to get upset about here, folks.

It's not conclusive

I can’t help but think part of the “slamming” was his feeble and frankly dishonest defence.

"It was more a show of defence. I didn't want to get rolled over and him be on top of me. that was the position I was pulled into and that was where my strength was."

I’m a bit perplexed as to how the club green-lit this before he offered it to the tribunal.

Real time.
Too long.

Don't know tbh, this is kicking around on social media atm.

Best guess is a photographer picked it up but not a tv camera.

Can't see exactly what happens, but it's at least as long as Viney's.

Staggered this has been swept under the carpet. Is something only a 'bad look' if it's shown on repeat by channel 7?

The photos show us what happened. The video shows for how long.

The AFL should get all the photos from the photographer's camera as surely he snapped a whole series of them. They could be played like a flip book animation as evidence.

Yep, pretty clearly not under his neck as has been suggested.

I also like the mental image of them rolling through the pages of a flick book in the hearing... 😆

He gets away with it simply because there isn't the same consistent footage that Viney had against him, those photo's show that it definitely wasn't below the neck (if that's been the excuse thrown around).

At least the so-called Tribunal has dismissed the Greene bulldust appeal. He should have been rubbed out for 2, as should have Selwood. And how the hell was the West Coast man able to get away with throating Sparrow?

One photo here shows bad optics and gross misconduct, the other shows nothing to see.

This club frustrates me. Just heard Lungmuir sticking up for Brayshaw saying he’s not happy with the consistency and yet there is nothing being done that I’m aware of to bring any exposure this. Nothing.

You want our club to get in the media and pot Yeo?

Have you ever seen a club mount a campaign against a player from another club?

Meanwhile Greene getting a week just tops off the shambles that is the MRO/Tribunal system.

  • Dangerfield in the 2020 GF - not suspended
  • Astbury in Round 1 - not suspended
  • Daniher in Round 1 - not suspended
  • Hawkins on May - not suspended
  • Fritsch vs North - not suspended
  • Shuey on Mills - not suspended
  • Buddy Franklin - not suspended
  • Greene - suspended for a week

If your argument against Greene is "if you're going to raise your arm/elbow you suffer the consequences if you hit someone in the head", all of the above players should have received a week.

Don't tell me "oh but some of those guys were fined". If you want evidence that fines don't operate as deterrent, look no further than Selwood, who has been fined three times already this year.

Can be back channeled but ultimately the question on the non call has to be asked. This is more to bring into the spotlight the inconsistency and utter failure of Christiansen and the tribunal process. I know we don’t have the video evidence but from what I have seen the incidents appear to be very similar in nature. Yeo doesn’t get sited whilst people were asking for 6 weeks against Viney. Where are those same people?

I watched  the Gus n Gawn vodcast today and Brayshaw was visibly irritated at this situation. Obviously he is bound by the players code but I believe the players were quite frustrated with it.

Someone like Tom Morris should be all over this.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
