We paid money to come to our club and kick goals.

Get him in and just let him work with Tmac.

The time has come to unleash BBB.

He actually loves the club. He’s just frightened of being labelled as biased. So when he sinks the boots in, it helps the ‘unbiased’ narrative.

No one else seems to give a rat’s whether or not they sound biased. ?

We desperately need a real genuine KPF instead of Weideman.

I seriously think he has two quarters to prove if he wants his spot.

Hes certainly not alone up fwd but hes the last one in  with not a great deal of credits.

Biggest difference between these two teams is desire. They have it, we’ve left it behind. Find it again and we bring it back. Don’t and we lose easy. Simples. The most disappointing thing is we MUST have known what they’d bring, and why. .

Our whole defensive structure is gone. Could be from a breakdown at any line. Once we lift our intensity we will be fine and get the job done.

Jackson continues to improve. 12 touches a goal and 6 marks for a 19yo 2nd ruck. His second efforts and running are great

I'm still hopeful that we can win but we just need to get out of the habit of playing catch up football in the second half. We may have gotten away with it against North and Brisbane, but we won't get away with it every time.

Start hitting a target we might have a chance.

And there it is.

65% efficiency is pathetic as is our lack of pressure.

Fix that or we lose, end of story.

Doesn't matter. His complete lack of effort in the first 30 minutes set the tone for the rest of the boys and gave Collingwood a lift across the board. Not only didn't he work for the ball, he wasn't even within 50m of most contests. Not good enough and this predicament is not solely on his shoulders but largely on his shoulders as well as Fritsch's ball use and Gawn's lack of domination.

Complete lack of effort ? In the first few minutes he was being held of the ball and denied a fair run at it. 5 times. UMPIRES TURNING A BLIND EYE as they have done all season. Not his fault we arent in the game

Even before Buckley’s announcement this was a danger game. Every year there’s a team down the bottom that probably isn’t reflective of their actual ability and I’ve felt the Pies fit this. Not saying they’re top 8 but they’ve got quality and that quality is rising to the top today.

On the flip side our quality is barely showing itself, Oliver was literally doing everything himself at the start of the second quarter before his teammates pulled their finger out. Gawn seems off, marks not sticking and taps not going our way. Petracca is having a nothing game so far. May and Lever being kept out of the game through good planning. TMac only having a bit of a game (though did well to give LJ the goal). And Kozzie barely in the game.

Long way to go, so much to do. We came out of the blocks against Brisbane in the second half, we need a rocket up them for this game as well.

No question Weids has had no impact but our turnovers and kicking into the forward line has been terrible.

Seems to be 3 on 1 every time we go forward.  Last week Weidermans impact was at least bringing the ball to ground and bring small forwards into the game.  Can allow them to mark the ball inside our 50m

Can we kick the ball well

Wow Weids first half is playing himself out of the side. 0 kicks 0 marks.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
