Perhaps that nirvana will be achieved in late September?...

Apologies to Brayshaw, Spargo, McDonald, Petty and Rivers who were all in contention for 3 to 1.

Isn’t it great to be in a position where you vote for best six players and are compelled to apologise to the same number, if not more, who didn’t make it onto your list? ?

6 Petracca (4 qtr performance)

5 Oliver (best pure mid in the game)

4 Harmes (super work rate)

3 Gawn (at half time the Lions coaches would’ve been reasonably happy with Big O’s attempt in nullifying Max but he was obliterated in the 2nd half)

2 McDonald (2nd half dominance)

1 Pickett (the spark)

6 Petracca - was vibrant all night and his third-term goal was vintage Dusty.

5 Gawn - crumbed a goal and was our best at half time with plenty of clever kicks and handballs, but Trac took control in third. Age has early deadlines, reporter probably didn't see the second half when Trac got even better.

4 Oliver - lifted after half time with amazing run and carry and is getting closer to being the complete player. Set shots a problem - you can tell he doesn't think he'll convert them in his face.

3 Spargo - what a game from this guy. Check replay of his tap to I think T.Mac for a goal in third.

2 T.Mac - may have been reading Robbo's bathwater up to halftime, but was just so prominent and clever after the break.

1 May - Some major marks after the long interval and shut down Daniher and Hipwood at times after the break.

So Petracca moves forward by 18 votes, Oliver by 13 and Gawn by only 2!  Interesting counting system.

Is 6 the top? If not why are people rating Tracc to low?

6 is the highest. Have a go. It's fun.

I do it after watching the replay and don't look at how others have voted until I've posted.

I find most agree on the top 2 (if in a different order) but from there on in it can be interesting.

Each week the names of all posters who vote are put in a random online generator which picks 3 names. Those three posters votes are used to determine the weeks votes. A player can get a maximum of 18 votes.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
